What happened to NEO and ICX?

nothing much happened for them, just like all others cryptocurrencies there is no hype for the moment about cryptocurrencies and ithink taht neo is a good project but overpriced

Don't consider it as over prices because NEO is recognized, many companies are using this NEO blockchain. Recently they have released NEO 3.0 which seems to be very interesting which might help to increase the value and same thing ICON and recently they have started staking model which seems to be very interesting.

sometimes good news on projects cannot pump prices that have fallen too deep, there are several factors, first because investors have very little interest in the project, second marketing is not optimal, third news that is not right with market conditions, good news shouldn't come out when the market is being corrected, it will only commit suicide and do nothing.
and from those three reasons, I don't know which ones are included in the NEO and ICX projects.

What has happened with NEO and ICX, also happens to most major coins. The market for almost 2 years has dropped dramatically, although with good news, not do much to boost the price. Patiently, I think both of them will be recovery soon.

NEO which is said to be the leading cryptocurrency in China and ICX for Korea hasn't really been trending recently even with development updates. I've come to realise that most altcoins see price spikes because of hype especially from influencers or upcoming news or market manipulation and not  how great the project is. I've been following NEO and ICX and I'm really impressed with those projects, but their development updates  doesn't affect price positively. What could be the reason behind this? I will like to hear your opinions if you still believe in those projects.

It's true that both NEO and ICX are giant projects, doing well with development so far but not with price movement. It's high time we start investing in projects because of what they have to offer and not mere hype. I remember selling ICX at 10$ and NEO at 200$ in the past, but right now the prices of those coins are nothing to write home about. I recently bought some ICX for long term hold, hoping it pays off in the long run.

The massive pump in price for NEO and ICX was during the last altcoin season, when influencers like suppoman and ilan balina will chill coins and boom the price spikes up. Those two projects are great, I'm holding some NEO anyway and I have some ICX on VELIC exchange where I benefit from staking.  I really hope the prices of these coins tally with their development progress in future, holders should just be patient.

NEO does not have alot of users. That is probably why the price isn't improving.
Where did you get the information that it is the leading cryptocurrency in China.  I think it was called Ethereum of China or something. This is the only thing I have heard that relates NEO to China. Besides, Chinese government isn't Crypto-friendly

Those days where massive pumped can happen after some hypes being done by known personalities inside this industry, but since investors nowadays are already learning how to pick project to invest, there's no magical words that will pumped any alts from this current season. Same with all those known coins
this two projects are also waiting for the bull market to bounce back and regained momentum.

I was a bit late with the answer, but look at the chart of all altcoins supported by China during the news that the Chinese government supports cryptocurrency, your neo made good growth on this news, as you can see the market has matured and responds well to news of this nature.
