hey guys

I sold an ant to someone

they factory reset it

and now they cant hash

i have tried to teamviewer it but its just not hashing ]

any ideas/pros to help my buyer out?

just have them goes over the settings again to make sure they have internet connection and mining pool information entered correctly. are they even able to connect to the device? Did they reboot the antminer after saving and applying changes?

i have been trying to remote access it, I can get onto the device and enter pool settings properly but it wont hash

it is connected via etheernet

Hey!

I think I know exactly what the issue is. The PSU is not supplying enough power to your mining unit.
Although Bitmain says the Antminer S1 draws about 360 watts, my own research has concluded that the S1
draws a little over 400 watts. When overclocked, the miner draws about 422 watts.

Worst Case Scenario: You've not only overloaded your PSU, but you may have done some damage to your miner.
Best Case Scenario: The miner is undamaged and you simply need a higher wattage PSU. (I recommend 500 watts or more)

I'm leaning towards trying a different PSU as well.  Just because you have had success with others even the same model does not mean the one with problems can't be bad or underpowered or failing for that matter.  If nothing more than just to test and eliminate that variable.
