I want to buy a cheap laptop (probably at TigerDirect?) specifically to hookup my Antminer U1's (maybe even add some more U2's) running at 32 Gh/s to solo mine.. I just want to have something running to hopefully win the lottery on solo mining... What minimum requirements should I look at? Any specific feature I should focus on (RAM,processor speed, what do I prioritize)?

Or, is there a way to turn my Raspberry Pi to solo mine? I'm currently pool mining with it using BFGminer...

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thing is, using those antminers doesnt generate me enough BTC in pools, much less in the future... I was thinking to just use these and wait it out to get 25 coins, even if it takes a long time to do so. I figure I would never make 25BTC with just pool mining with these hardware...

Average generation time for a block (solo) 32GH = 18 years, 32 days (can vary greatly depending on your luck)
Average generation time for a block (solo) 10,000GH = 21 days, 3 hours (can vary greatly depending on your luck)

WHOA crap... Hmmm, but that being said, it sounds like its profitable to invest in 10 Antminer S2's for example (that would cost over 50BTC) and in 3-4 months make it back with profit?

I don't have that money haha, but it seems interesting to know...

Thanks for this info!
