While the currently available dualminer gets you 70khs for $100 a new company called Zeus is coming with its own usb scrypt miner.

disregard, scam.

It's a new unknown player in the crypto world so it still has to prove itselves.

Always research any company before sending them large amount of money/bitcoins.

I'm more interested in the 8mh/s and 16mh/s machines - amazing pricing and power consumption compared to GPU rigs.

I've only just seen it for the first time though, would need to investigate extremely thoroughly before putting money into something like this.

People should really stop with this pre-order nonsense, not to mention that the website is raising some huge red flags.

I've been following them for a while
That means what exactly? That you've opened their website every 2nd day or you actually did some investigation work to try and found out who they really are?

70 KH/s for $100? What am I missing, and don't tell me its the portability that makes it worth that much.

Any donations greatly appeciated!

Folks,
Remember all the scams.   Don't give your BTC to anything or anyone until you see proof of work.

That's the dualminer, see dualminer.com It's already released but I think the price is to high or the the hashrate is to low  Wink

If these things are so efficient and powerful why won't they just plug the machines and mine crypto themselves?

Who said they don't, for "testing"  Tongue? Then we're at the stage where who profits are the shovel sellers.

Back during the great gold rush the people selling picks and shovel made way more money selling tools than people striking gold and getting super rich! Just because someone has all the tools doesnt make it effecient/profitable to use them

Why do people keep bringing up this retarded analogy? When you wanna strike gold you first of all need to FIND the gold, which is what consumed most of the time and the money(traveling, ground testing, paper work, etc).
Not to mention you needed someone to be there, physically, to mine it.

With cryptocurrency all you gotta do is connect the damn miner to the plug and viola, gold.

If a seller of shovels during the gold rush would just strike gold wherever he lands his shovel he's just mine the gold himself. If it was anything similar to cryptocurrency you'd see thousand of people surrounding his shop mining gold.
Quite the sight I'd imagine.
