Seriously, you are reading the travel section and you want to complain about making culture stereotypies? Have you traveled before? It's quite common thing to search about cultural differencies when travelling and search about habits in certain countries.
In Finland we mostly don't don't like to chit-chat with strangers, and yet we have no problem being in sauna with them completely naked in silence. Not
everyone will behave so but if you ask any finn if this is true, they will agree that most of us do this.
You just could ask about this article in Reddit and provide counter evidence on your findings but of course you won't. That would be work.
