Only 10 days for one of the most important release of the Ethereum ecosystem. 2.5 years of incredible work by Loopring engineers...

Loopring.io, the first DEX using ZK-ROLLUP on ETHEREUM (2500 transactions/second VISA-Scale, ~$0.001to settle) set to be launched the 1st of March.

Loopring 3.0 can settle up to 2,025 trades per second while guaranteeing the same level of security as the underlying Ethereum blockchain. This is made possible by using a construction called zkRollup, and a feature called On-Chain Data Availability, or OCDA. With Loopring 3.0, non-custodial exchanges can match the performance of custodial competitors.

The average settlement cost for each trade is now as low as $0.005 USD, which covers the gas for Ethereum transactions and the cost of proof generation on cloud computing platforms. DEXes can further lower the settlement cost to about $0.0025 USD by using cheaper servers in the cloud and GPU-based algorithms.

All LRC holders can stake LRC to earn part of the protocol fees paid by all exchanges built on top of Loopring.

ONLY 10 DAYS GUYS!!

Interesting, but a DEX ONLY for Ethereum tokens seems a bit useless, doesn't it?

Stakenet is releasing their Lightning based DEX, which will support ETH, and it's token as well. Unlimited transactions/s if you transact via the Lightning Network. This is an integrated part of their multi currency wallet, where you can hold all your coins as well btw.

Not trying to trash the thread here, but what's the point in an Ethereum DEX? What if I want to exchange my coins for BTC, or any other project not supported by the ETH network?

Please enlighten me.

Wrapped token(wBTC) - pTokens - Synthetic Assets (Synthetix). Super simple. You can trade all coins/tokens of other blockchains.

The real advantage of Loopring is to use zk-rollup( migrates most computations off the blockchain and only broadcasts exchanges' new state roots and their corresponding proofs onto the blockchain. In other words, the Loopring protocol uses the underlying Ethereum blockchain mainly as a data layer and a Zero-Knowledge Proof verification thin-logic layer).

Layer2 will be one of the hottest topics of 2020

Performances are incredible (comparable of a centralized exchange).
