Hey there - so i'm looking to start gambling online with cryptos.

I've read around a bit - and checked out some stuff - but i'd like to get some peoples opinions.

Question 1.) I'm in Canada - and i'd like to use a giftcard to purchase the funds to gamble - which GiftCard should i buy to make my purchase? - as I don't have a bank account I can use for this.


Question 2.) Which Currency should I purchase with the GC bought in question 1? I'm looking for best bang for my buck/quickness in transactions? I'm thinking litecoin?
What are your opinions on buy Doge with GC?

You can buy Amazon giftcards, then purchase Bitcoin using localbitcoins.com.

As far as I'm aware, this is basically the only way you can get Bitcoin by spending giftcards. You should expect to lose around 10% with this method though, so it's not ideal.

Why are you looking to buy in using giftcards? For anonymity? If that's the issue, simply buy BTC or Monero for cash using one of the huge number of OTC groups.

Litecoin is the lowest transaction fee, and commonly supported by most casinos, but I believe Dogecoin is almost similarly low.

In any case, I recommend you check out Luckydice if you're into dice games, or NitrogenSports if you like sports betting.

If you don't want to go the KYC route where you need to provide your proof of residency and passport then you should just go to a bitcoin ATM and buy the bitcoins with cash. They got a large spread, usually 10% or so but its good for small transactions.

Download some wallet on your phone like Blockchain wallet and its where your BTC will be sent. Once its sent there you can send it to an exchange and buy your Litecoin or Dogecoin with it. If you want to keep using BTC then just send it to the various casinos that are reviewed on bitcointalk.

If you want to sell your BTC when you are done gambling then its more involved, because many ATMs only let you buy and not sell. You would need to either find one that lets you sell for fiat or find someone on localbitcoins. However last I heard, that requires KYC now.

It depends on you on what casino you want to play or which casino suits your taste but one thing about casinos that you should use to play must be a legit, reputed and popular ones. In Canada you have it so easy with gift cards. You can just walk into a grocery store and chances are they will be selling a prepaid card loaded with dollars like "Vanilla" prepaid Visa cards. This could be used to buy whatever in turn.

But I wouldn't recommend to buy a card in order to get crypto. Better just spend your cash directly after finding some local seller in a platform like local bitcoins.

In 6 years as crypto-gambler I have never used a casino that requieres kyc.

Almost every casino site can ask for KYC if they suspect shady behavior and this is clearly stated in their T&C though this does mean that they enforce KYC on every single customer. This would screw their business. They only enforce it under certain conditions based on my experience with them.

I dont know whats your main motivation for gambling but if it is "to have some fun and excitement every now and then" you should maybe consider casinos which offer faucets (or something comparable).

Most of the casinos you will find here with an active community are all good. It's now up to your own preferences. So yes, there might be a chance that you need to play at each sites before there will be a site that will pass your criteria.
