S9 Miner Problems

So I recently purchased an s9 miner and having trouble getting the miner to connect to any pools to mine bitcoin? On the AntMiner Configuration IP Address I have set all the pools to the correct username then my own worker name and no password as shown in multiple YouTube videos.

Can anyone help me solve this problem after waiting a while the summary does show up displaying that the miner is on, but unsure why on a any pool site the Hashrate does not display.

You do need a password just put in x

If that does not work can you post a screenshot of the miner status screen.
Also, can you post the kernel log it's under system-->kernel log.
Use the code tags when posting the log, it's going to be long.

Have you bothered to download the manual for it from Bitmain? Far better than any 'tube vids...

Aside from that, be sure that there are no whitespaces in your address or username. When copy/pasting it is very common for a whitespace to be added to the end of what you pasted.

As for user and worker name, normally they have to be separated by a dot eg  username.workername

If the  s9 miner shows shares accepted at the pool the pool should show your work in under an hour or 2.

Can you tell us what pool you are talking about?

It must show the hashrate summary in the pool after a few minutes. If there is no sign that your miner is connected to the pool you might have an internet connection problem or your modem has a firewall(Closed open ports) or your ISP is blocking your miner from connecting to the pool.

Can you try to test the ping of the pool you are currently using?

What summary? where? how? you seem to have an issue with describing the problem you have, all we can do here is speculate the problem which in many cases does not work, you should at least upload the "miner status" page, take a screenshot using any snipping tool or even your mobile camera, go to this website https://imgur.com/upload, upload the image and paste the link here.
