This altcoin shall be built on 2 concrete pillars which plague the IoT world.
Security and Convenience.
Security:- as we all know, given enough resources, everything hackable. everything is breakable. therefore, the line is drawn between what can easily be hacked and what is not. this is the premise that runs the entire crypto eco-system. many people are discouraged from using Smart Home technologies due to the inherit risk. no one wants to buy a smart door lock if it can be hacked. smart home devices that communicate on-chain are as secure as the blockchain itself.
Convenience:- the 3 main barriers to mass adoption of smart home technologies are Ease of installing, Ease of use and Price
Ease of Installing; currently, when you buy smart home devices, you must install them individually, link them to their software individually, troubleshoot them individually and service them individually. this is easily fixed by having an organization install and maintain the devices for the customer for a low fixed monthly fee.
Ease of Use; currently, one must use 2 to 4 different applications to control their entire smart home. the software that controls the light is different than the software that controls the curtains which in turn is different than the software that controls the indoor climate. this can be fixed by having a central hub that allows for integration with multiple smart home platforms. this central hub can then be controlled using a single application and software.
Price; this point must be addressed. Durable smart home devices of high quality are cheap to make. however, most smart home device manufacturers rely on investor and shareholder funds for R&D. the cost of research and development is then passed on to the consumer. this is a major barrier. a climate control device cost only Cents to make, however it is priced at 100's of USD. this third point can be fixed simply by being a "Fair" company. that means; pricing products based on ongoing expenses and not based on "one time" expenses.
The promise is simple. a smart home company that offers free installation and maintenance. where the software is built on the blockchain. where the prices are kept to a minimum in favor of outreach growth rather than profit.
and with size, the profit grows too.
