The problem is even though we do our very own research , still it isn't enough to save our asses due to some lack of information given by the project developers themselves. I recently found out that some IEO's out there don't give the exact amount of money raised, and that is a red flag for me as we are somehow getting excited when we see the project is getting much attention in support. So basically at that moment you knew at first then that is also the moment you say no to new ALT.
That's a pretty complex problem indeed if the developer isn't transparent then what can we maintain to keep supporting? So by creating transparency will create a positive reciprocal relationship.
This is an important lesson for newbies, including me, so they are not easily attracted to the lure of large investments, because there is no guarantee.

Newbies needs to be prepared for this coming new year, scammers will try to take advantage of that year because bitcoin halving is already dropping the HYPE in crypto space  already, Learn to do research better, not all bad results in crypto are because a project failed, mostly are because of lack of research, with no good research you can easily fall for scam projects.

1) Do better research on new projects before promoting them or investing a penny on them

2) Visit scam accusation thread on the forum time to time, it will safe you a lot too

3) If you you have to invest always invest what you can afford to lose.

This has been said over and over again but in a different way and manner but it all comes down to the same thing, which is, the truth; this post is the truth in all sincerity. Everyone needs to be careful this year most especially now that the pandemic is still very much active and scammers are lurking around to find who to defraud. Therefore let due diligence be banked on at all times.

It is not enough just to visit the branch of scam cases; it is important to check each project yourself in a search engine. And more than once.
Many make the mistake of checking the project only once during the initial analysis. While there are no 100% guarantees (they are almost always absent), it is necessary to assume the probability of scam.

Even in Bitcoin or Ethereum you must not invest any cents until you have a formal knowledge about where you are investing because the more you have knowledge is the more you may lose in each investing.

using search engine will also direct us to the scam cases regarding projects.

if you can afford to lose then bet for the said project but if you really care for your money?then extend your hands doing multiple research  first.

You can only avoid scams if you don't invest in new projects, that's all you need to do when it comes to special cryptocurrencies these days when no real projects are offered. anywhere. Many new projects are likely to appear in 2020 and many of them will probably end up in a scam. For beginners or for all of us here be careful and remember, scammers will never stop. If you are not ready to avoid stupid mistakes then there will be lessons to Learn the hard way.

LOL you got the point! The most memorable lesson is the lesson that you learn the hardest way. You have to experience the failure in order to learn something new and be better at it. Howe\ver, when it has to deal with money, use your knowledges, instincts, experiences as well as others' to avoid the least loss. You'll lose something but then you learn something!

And better yet, you need at least to learn the basic surrounding the blockchain technology and find time to read updated articles about cryptocurrency to avoid being scammed .

Learning the basics and everything about blockchain technology could really help newbies on where they should participate and invest their money on projects, so they could know if the project legitimate and has a potential to become successful in the long term.
