Cheers for the offer Royse, looks like this individual was a scammer, as they insisted on no 3rd party, & weren't prepared to send 1st in a direct trade either. Hmmmnnnmn. Thx anyway, for the sake of anybody reading this thread, it was initiated through telegram, their ID was "Engeles", & the pic associated with the ID was what looks like a guy with his son (presumably), at a sports event. Shame. I can upload the pic here, but it's currently on my desktop, as a saved image. (If anybody can help with getting it onto here, then I will)

Uploading the image associated with the account and username actually will not prove that that was the right guy. A scammer might put someone elses image and they can change username in TG. Best will be to share the ID of their TG which can be pulled using @userinfobot handle.
You need to forward a text that was sent from the guy to the handle @userinfobot and the bot will return their Id. The Id is something permanent which can not be changed.
