indeed the article was true, even though the whole market merged and collected all the prices I thought they would never master and defeat BTC. BTC will remain the king of crypto until the amount in the market is exhausted later due to mining effects and other transactions.
your statement makes sense because when the whales have started to fall and want to take advantage of the opportunity to be able to profit from bitcoin they will take advantage of good moments such as halving will make bitcoin more difficult to obtain and the whale will make the price expensive.

The only way that could change is if the increase of bitcoin goes to a high level big enough that it can't go higher anymore and the money coming in continues so the money realizes it can't go any higher so moves to altcoins. That is literally what happened in 2017 for example, bitcoin went so high that people realized they can't make too much profit from it anymore so they sent their money to altcoins which all made all time high prices.

The only other possibility is the altcoins staying the same in dollar value whereas bitcoin drops 50%+ so that dominance would go down. The later is even more impossible because when bitcoin goes down, it goes down all the way, but when it goes up, it goes up together as well which makes it a bigger possibility.

It is no news anymore that bitcoin is the supreme token for crypto currency.

A price surge (increase or decrease) in bitcoin causes other token to increase de in price.

And for most altcoins traders, the altcoins are eventually converted to bitcoin pairs.

Right from time, the norm has always been bitcoin before others and it has always been Bitcoin dominating over others. If bitcoins could take over 50% dominance, which today, it's above 60%, it means that it is more valued and that others are just mere subordinates to it, which is why they are called altcoins.

It is undeniable that Bitcoin is the main target for investment. Moreover, Bitcoin also first appeared before the birth of Altcoin, and BTC also has a limited supply so that people have great potential in making satisfactory profits.

As long as we don't support the btc forks, bitcoin will be more successful due to its limited supply, and since it's the oldest coin in the market if I am not mistaken, we can expect that more and more bitcoins will be lost in circulation over time and that would make the value to rise even more as the demand will surely increase more as well.

Bitcoin is the main currency... altcoins are alternative currency, so you are right, without bitcoin there'll be no altcoins.

Many people do not even know any other crypto other than bitcoin. Bitcoin has reached a height and bridge the gap that no other altcoin can reach and that is the reason while the market capitalization of the bitcoin cannot be compared to other altcoin.
