Sorry I didn't get it, what do you mean? Are you mean you get email notifications from someone user, but you didn't get Private message from that's user in this forum?

If true, you should stay away from that's email, maybe that's user give you phishing sites or malware virus

I'm talking about watched threads. You can only get notified when a member replies you, only by email.

This forum software (SMF) is older than Satoshi himself so there's no notification bell.

But if you've subscribed to topics, you'd receive an email whenever there's an update.

However there's been some development on the new software, called Epochtalk going on for quite a while now. Even way before I joined this forum a few years back.

There are some that installed and tested privately, but that's that. Nobody knows the ETA on the official release.

You can use this as an alternative to get notified when someone is mentioning you made by;

But Admins should do these stuff... Not members... I hope that new forum software will be released soon...

Development is on-going since I registered on this forum (the process started way before that iirc). Migrating is not as easy as you think. If something breaks in between then I bet people will complain about this and that. You can contribute by testing it so they could speed it up too. Or make something like Loyce or giammangiato did.

I know it sucks but what else can you do.

One of the reasons for creating user-stuff instead of admin-stuff is that it can't break things on the server.
Another reason is that there's only one active Admin, and there are far more feature requests than he can create.
