Recent case study published by the U.S. DOT reveals great promise for the use of blockchain technology in operating a drone fleet designed to perform emergency deliveries such as in the case of organ transplants.

Successful implementation of a wider network may result in a fast and streamlined adoption by other industries, potentially giving way to establish blockchain as a core system of this new transportation paradigm.

Um, you do know that this has nothing to do with Bitcoin (or any other crypto coin) right?
Using 'blockchain technology' is just that - using an immutable verifiable distributed ledger vs a normal database to track things be it ID's for vendor/location/installation data for streetlights & security cameras, farm product shipments & contracts, etc... In this case, organ typing, donor & transport data.

It has something to do with Blockchain. And it is just using a database to synchronize information between parties that don't fully trust each other.

However, in the grand scheme of things this is a story about new developments in blockchain. Blockchain is a part of crypto, even if we lose the pseudo-anonymous parts.
