So, what is the NITRO protocol?
The NITRO protocol incentivizes sellers to sell above the 48-hour Time-Weighted Average Price (TWAP), while incentivizing buyers to push the price up. -If selling: -% change in sold price from TWAP is removed from the order -Of the removed amount, 25% is sent to Mechanics, 75% sent to NITRO protocol -If buying: -% change in buy price from TWAP is ADDED to your order (i.e. buying 25% above/below TWAP means you get 25% extra tokens, for free) The bonus tokens for buyers come from the NITRO protocol balance The bonus tokens are collectable at The Shop 48 hours AFTER the transaction is completed, to allow price to stabilize at new TWAP. Price goes above TWAP? Buyers are incentivized to FOMO in, while sellers have breathing room to sell without lowering past TWAP. Price goes below TWAP? Buyers get FREE tokens for supporting the TWAP price level, while sellers are punished for having weak hands and not waiting for the price to stabilize at the TWAP.
