Wow what is up with those guys over at the CPU Mining Club? Huh Someone asked about mining on a 3700X and I told them about verus making .71c a day and the lead guy over there flipped out on me and tried to say I was lying and all kinds of stuff.

Then somebody stuck up for me and said I was right. Then I tried to give them another example and next thing I know they kicked me!  Huh Angry

All I'm trying to say is they where very rude and didn't want to listen to anything and was definitely on some kind of power trip!

Be wary it may not be what it seems!

I think its sort of a long story but the gist of it is they may not be very friendly & open-minded, either that or they have some sort of agenda with the coins they promote.
Don't feel bad, I got kicked out or threatened and I willingly left maybe a year ago for a similar story.
They started out friendly and accepting and VerusCoin had a channel there which one day they relegated to the bottom of the list in a section they created for coins at risk of being removed. I asked why and they complained about Verus not being "pure" CPU enough due to having an open, hardware inclusive algorithm with FPGAs and GPUs also on the network. They didn't care to learn that it is more healthy to accept all but make the algo work very well on CPUs to where it can be more profitable still than many of the coins they list now. I think they'd prefer exclusion and to fork away when anyone else joins the network. It is a very closed minded and narrow philosophical or almost cultish point of view and it wasn't "for all" or something I wished to continue to debate with them. Let them keep doing what they've done to you and me and I'm sure as VerusCoin grows, more will follow. You told them the truth and they choose to be blind. One day they'll be forced to confront the truth when enough of their users see that CPUs can still be profitable and welcoming to other technologies.

They claimed to me (before I left shaking my head) that all algos that allows other hardware to mine it outside CPUs, will inevitably be taken over by ASICS. They don't grasp the idea that you can tweak an algo in such a way, that both FPGAs and CPUs can exist on the same network, while both are profitable. (And I've tried to explain... And again... And again)

Well, if that club wants to miss out on a profitable coin, that's their business.
