I am new to mining and have been able to set up my Antminer S9 to mine Bitcoin using Slushpool, but I can't seem to switch over and mine Zcash instead.  I feel as if I am missing something simple

These are the URLs I have - The Bitcoin has a status of 'alive' while the 2 Zcash pools have a status of 'dead'  - these are the only pools I have been able to find so I believe they are correct and I have been unable to get the status to change to 'alive'

stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.slushpool.com:3333

stratum+tcp://us-east.zec.slushpool.com:4444
stratum+tcp://zec.slushpool.com:4444

On the Slushpool site, under the 'workers' tab, my Antminer appears as a worker under Bitcoin, but when I switch to Zcash the worker is N/A.  I have been searching online and nothing seems to work.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

yeah  s9 mines the algorithm named  sha-256  of which btc is one of a few coins that use it.

zcash is mined with a different algorithm and needs a different mining machine then the s9

"People also ask
What does mining algrithom Zcash use?
ZCash will use Equihash as an hashing algorithm, which is an asymmetric memory-hard PoW algorithm based on the generalized birthday problem. It relies on high RAM requirements to bottleneck the generation of proofs and making ASIC development unfeasible, much like Ethereum."

The part in quotes is from a yahoo or google search engine or maybe bing search engine as it look like I can get it to show up on all three search engines

I don't know if it is up to date as I stopped mining zcash years ago.

"I have been searching online and nothing seems to work."

I am going to say I don't believe that statement. A quick google search for Bitmain S9 will lead you to Bitcoin Mining, a Search for "Can Bitmain S9 mine Zcash" will tell you "no in 3 seconds."

Example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsmx705zn0U

Example 2
https://www.quora.com/Can-I-use-the-Antminer-S9-to-mine-for-AltCoins
"Any altcoin which uses a different algorithm, or has some other type of algorithm that must be used alongside of it, is incompatible and cannot be mined for."
