No digital signatures are needed except as hashes. The need for digital signatures is eliminated by attention to timing of transactions. Without digital signatures and only hashes instead, is this a cryptocurrency at all?

Zenoribbon is an understandable digital money targeted for release in a few days and is totally different than blockchain money. Transactions are posted to consensus building broadcasters and transaction evaluators as a public post. Transactions are done by public post to any broadcaster meeting consensus-defined standards. Transactions are recorded to any claim chain ledger meeting consensus-defined standards. A claimchain ledger is agreed upon by consensus. Recipients of Zenoribbon (ZR) must advertise their holdings with broadcasters to minimum standards agreed upon by consensus.

Anything that relies on cryptographic proof to confirm the transaction is a cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency focuses on the trustless system of transfer where individuals don't need to decide whether the transaction is made or not, and the transaction is irreversible by the individuals. For that to work correctly, it should be both decentralized and have a large number of influential nodes.

Okay, so since hashing is considered cryptography, and Zenoribbon relies on hashing, it is a cryptocurrency. That said, hashing is also part of other branches of information science in addition to cryptography.

The centralization actually varies over time for Zenoribbon. At the beginning, it is more centralized than Bitcoin, but after 30 years, it is more decentralized. It was at the point the Bitcoin network became controlled by a few few people that it was decided Zenoribbon would be released.

The errors in Bitcoin come from a misunderstanding of natural power structures. Bitcoin actually works on consensus too, its just not formal. With Zenoribbon, all the consensus processes are formally defined. Bitcoin Core's most important purpose by a wide margin is not designing the currency but rather forming consensus agreement on protocol.

Zenoribbon will be extremely entertaining to issue, so my role in this should be fun.
