South Korean health officials said Monday that they might add churches to the government's list of risky places for coronavirus infection.

They have to. As long as there are remaining covid19 cases in a country, they have to be careful reopening places where people can gather. There's an option by implementing a strict protocol of physical distancing.

But IIRC, one hot case in South Korea came all from one woman who attended different churches praying for healing as she founds out to have the symptoms of the disease yet little did she know, she infected a lot.

Makes sense, this is something that they're dealing with as an issue in the states too. As it's very tough to tell people that they're unable to go back to their churches, as for many that is really their only sense of community (and it is obviously important as a religion to them too.)

Some states are enforcing strict social distancing in churches, clean up crews, and so on. That should be something that should be done in areas where health officials deem it possible.

Services being done outside, online, etc will all be able to work in helping people continue their faith during an especially troubling time like this.

My country is a very religious one, to the extent that despite the outbreak of the virus, many of our citizens adviced the government against closing down places of worships (churches and mosques). Imo places of worship should have remained closed for now (as the government have also opened them here) the use of face masks in churches, social distancing, reducing the number of people that can attend services at once and other covid-19 preventive measures is not needed when members can connect with their preachers online and with God, everywhere.

If I'm not mistaken before, the church has opposed various sacraments and rites online. The ruthless coronavirus has changed that, too. In fact, a believer does not have to go to church buildings because any service can easily be conducted in the open air while maintaining social distance.

A service could be conducted online if it needed to. Christian groups in the U.S. have been fighting to keep their churches open during the pandemic when an online format would be identical.

If you want to pray, is praying in a group worth being a transmission vector for a virus?

Of course not. No one is forcing believers to have group prayers.
In fact, the person who wants to pray doesn't need anything at all. You can pray anywhere and at any time, of course, except Muslims who pray at a certain time.

I agree, there is no reason to be praying all at once in one special place. Your connection to God can be from anywhere. But if you really need to go to a church, then entrances should be limited and very spread out.
The risk of spreading the virus during a mass gathering during worship services is very high.  Only one corona infected could easily infest 200-300 more people. We need to be keep distance

True believers don't get Coronavirus... but for sure don't show any symptoms.

While this isn't a ton of cases, it points to some sort of outbreak at places of worship that have most likely lead to the deaths of a few people indirectly infected by people going to church.

NY Times is reporting that 650 Coronavirus cases are linked to places of worship after President Trump demanded that they be reoopened to allow people to go back to Church/Synagogue/Mosque/etc. See here - https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/08/us/coronavirus-churches-outbreaks.html

Seems like a real hotbed for the Coronavirus, and we're asking for an issue if we open these places and don't implement proper mask wearing and social distancing guidelines. Last thing we need is everyone in a town meeting up at a church and hugging and kissing each-other and causing a major outbreak.

South Korean health officials said Monday that they might add churches to the government's list of risky places for coronavirus infection.

http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20200629000253
Religious places like churches and mosques are the main reason for the formation of corona virus clusters even in South Korea the spread starts from a church if I remember it correctly so they are bit late to announce those places as danger zone.

Praying to God won't stop you from getting infected, its time to get into reality.
