Rivers State governor, Barr. Nyeso Wike donates 500million naira to SOKOTO State governor.
It is obvious that it is said that Charity begins at home. The display of gesture by Governor Wike was not a welcomed development at all. In a state where pensioniers and retirees are suffering, they have not being paid for services rendered over 35 years ago but the governor went ahead to give away 500 million naira to a fellow governor that receives allocation for her state.
This is the height of wickedness just to take praises from another state while your people are suffering.

In a country like Nigeria, where corruption and embezzlement of funds and other benefits seems to be the order of the day among its politicians, it is my sincere hope that the money donated be properly put into the proposed use. The issue of the Rivers state governor not paying public servants in the state  has little or nothing to do with this 500million donated. A state that can give out 500 million charitably, has over 4 times that amount in its reserve.
