i have stopped mining a long time ago because the profitability for me is very small owed to high energy consumption. but i stake some coins from time to time. but i usually do not stick to one or 2 coins, as a lot of them can easily go down the drain very fast. so once i discard the coin in exchanges, i just find a new one. the turn around should be fast when it comes to alts because very few of them can really sustain its market. might as well increase its value.

Downloaded Verus Desktop App and tried to bootstrap the blockchain, but sha256 file is not found, so it doesn't verify. EDIT: Actually, it doesn't download anything. While the normal blockchain download fills the specified directory, the bootstrapping doesn't do anything.
Can't insert my existing Verus address anywhere in the desktop app.
Wiki is very overwhelming and not helpful.

Neither a noob-friendly project, nor actually working at all...

Uninstalled.

EDIT2: Downloaded snapshot and inserted it manually. Solo mining seems to work now. Other points I made are still valid tho, I don't know what address I'm mining to

I'm mining verus with a Ryzen 1700, 14Mhs because it's the most efficient for me with a rig of GPUs
According to whattomine I suppose to mine 3.242109 coins a day, but the real mining in Luckpool I'm gaining 1.94564642
Be careful to buy CPUs only looking in mining calculators, I'm used to and it's only an estimate but it's very different at the moment
