What is Equilibrium?

Just saw this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5276446.0 and was wonder, does anyone know what Equilibrium is? Someone just purchased here EQ tokens, and I want to know, is it legit?

As far a I understand it's like Maker, Compound and Synthetix, but within one single DeFi dApp. It's based on Polkadot, so that makes it like interoperable between different blockchains.
In general, it's basically cross-chain money market.

Interesting idea if the team can pull this up, connecting all these top blockchains in the space is huge, but I still feel the team is just trying to ride the DEFI hype, I don't know why all these new ideas are popping up unless some of them feel there is free money in the space now and it is likely to raise fund. Again what is NUT token?

I had never heard of this Equilibrium, it would seem a nice idea at first sight, but I think that lately they are coming up with defi projects one after the other, as much FOMO as it was for ICOs, now everyone is looking for the goose that lays the golden eggs ! but who knows maybe it is .. we'll see, unfortunately I can't find any feedback on this NUT token, if someone knows it maybe inform us

Their NUT is a utility token for EOS products. You can stake it, participate in the voting and receive some compensation in the form of liquidation penalties.
Now the project moves to Polkadot substrate, so they swap potion of NUT to the EQ, which, as they said, will be interoperable through all Polka-chains.
