o_e_l_e_o Still alive?

o_e_l_e_o posted in 17th February this year that he has been suffering from a disease for a long time. and now it has become more dangerous for him. so now he wants to leave this forum and spend the last time of his life with his family.

Without giving away too much personal info, I have a chronic disease. I've had this disease for a decade and have had a lot of treatment for it, but it is winning. I likely only have a few months left. And so, I bid you all farewell. I'll be spending as much of my remaining time as possible with my family. In a week or so, once this thread has run its course, I'll ask theymos to lock this account.

I have learnt a lot from many of you, and I hope many of you have learnt something from me. Although we will never meet, I would have loved to share a beer with many of you, and I hope you'll remember me fondly.

He was one of the most knowledgeable people in this forum so everyone should suffer in such a situation. Do you think that he is still alive in the world? Or he died. Next 17th will be 6 months of his post. We can pray for him on the 17th that if he is alive may God bless him. and if he dies, then let him be a resident of Paradise.

I will personally donate some money for him to an orphanage or needy on the 17th as per my ability. what are you doing?

No one knows if o_e_l_e_o is alive or not. No one also know is he truly has disease or not. But we respect him because of his quality posts contributions on this forum. Also that because of what he posted, we do not want to think if he is dead or not, but we know that he is no more coming to this forum.

When I was at my worst with my heart condition o_e_l_e_o was very kind and sent me a few pms and offered his ear anytime I needed to talk. There were a couple members who offered that and I will forever be greatful to them. It's was a boost to my morale at the time as I generally think most of the world is selfish.

I am not sure if we will ever know for sure what happened to o_e_l_e_o, but I hope he enjoyed his last moments on the planet if he has indeed left it.

I guess we do not need to get bothered too much if other members leave the community and become inactive we have a life outside the forum and if that's the decision of o_e_l_e_o to focus on his family and in life we should respect this, he gives a lot to the community and one of the old member since 2017 I guess its fairly enough.

I won’t speculate on what has happened with him. He only disclosed whatever information he was comfortable sharing, and left on his terms. I respect his choice and hope he is at peace wherever he may be.

Why this discussion?
If Leo wanted any drama related to his life, he wouldn't have left the forum leaving only one message. He obviously wanted his peace and I don't see why it is difficult for us to respect his wish.
As far as donations are concerned (as far as I know, Leo has never mentioned anything in this direction), if it's for honest reasons, there is no need to inform everyone else. It should be an intimate thing.
