I'm trying to limit what I see on my watchlist so I recently deleted many topics and disabled the feature that automatically adds topics that I've posted to.

I wanted to replace them with more informative threads so I tried to add new topics but it looks like there is no option for that unless I post there myself. Is there another way? I just want to read and not add a meaningless post to the thread.

I have the meta board on watch and I'm seeing an unwatch/watch button next to reply? Is that what you were after?

I don't think it's possible from the watch function on the actual watchlist though.

I didn't notice the "watch" button on the upper right of each topic. Silly me lol.
So I clicked watch on two topics that I wanted to add and I see them on my list now. Thank you.

Another question, why doesn't it show all threads? What I only see are topics with yesterday's post.

You can check your profile settings. Notifications and email.

If you have not yet checked the option: Automatically watch topics after replying to them. (You can add all of your posted-in topics to your watchlist.). Now it is time to check it if it is what you need.

You need to activate watch board[1], imo. By activate that features/adding some boards to watch you would be able to see most of threads (maybe all) on the boards you watched not only the threads which have your post earlier.

Also when you click a topic it disappears from your watchlist until its edited again. Other than that I se no reason why it wouldn't be there.

Watch board or Ingnore Boards Preference can be used at the same time.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2363935;sa=ignoreBoards

The list gives board numbers but remember to do doublecheck because that thread was last updated too long ago and I don't know there are changes on board numbers recently or not.

How does checking my notifications and email answer my second question?
Like I said in my post, I disabled the feature that automatically add topics I've replied to to my watchlist and that's because I don't need it.

.....
Also when you click a topic it disappears from your watchlist until its edited again. Other than that I se no reason why it wouldn't be there.
I just clicked one to test and it really disappeared.
I still don't get why topics with posts before yesterday won't show up. Maybe there's a 24 hour rule? Or maybe I've read them before? I can't remember.
What do you mean by "edited again"? It will show up again if there's a new post?

The forum has no feature to directly help you. You only can automatically watch posted threads, then exclude them manually.

Or you can do it manually from your side: Make a spreadsheet, and save your watched topics or bookmark them on browser tabs.

You must've seen them all, I can see stuff from today. You could click on a topic, click mark unread and it'll still appear in your watchlist also.

And yeah once a new post is made (or if the last post is edited afaik) it'll reappear on your watchlist (but I'm not sure about the edited part if it's still the forums policy).
