[SCAM] Fake Uniswap giveaway

What happened: This scammer is trying to use ongoing Uniswap airdrop to scam people into sending him UNI tokens and giving back double the amount. This was kinda expected to see, scammers using something as popular as recent Uniswap airdrop  and might see more in the upcoming days.

Sadly these type of scams are neverending. But a good thing is the flag system works nicely to make them with a banner of shame.

Their wrong move was to make a thread here to promote their scam but now with some negative trust and a flag their chances of stealing someone's hard earned money is reduced if not removed completely.

DeFi and Uniswap craze has taken over the social media this time and scammers are the only ones who will take the profits off it.

Although there is tons of them, popping up like mushrooms after the rain, each catch makes it one less shitty scam out there and this was a good catch. Lots of them are going to try to use this UNI hype now, there will be a lot of investigative work for all of us.

Good catch and thankfully no one has fallen for this trick because the ETH address is empty. We really need to be vigilant as there are going to be scammers around taking advantage of this Uniswap ver 2 (as far as I know) and will create this kind of threads to lure potential victims. And probably these are related to Uniswap phishing sites as well that is popping like mushrooms in crypto space.

First thing i thought when i saw yestefay morning that Unisawp is giving 400 UNI to their old users is that scammers will certianly try to use this for their purposes. And voila, there it is. I am only surprised that we didn't see more of them.

Yeah it is good to see that mods reacted fast before anyone sent their tokens to these scammers.

So far nothing, let's hope it stays that way since topic has been removed. This is really a newbie scam attempt as more advanced ones even send some tokens to their address to make it more believable that giveaway is legit.

Now there is a new disease, the scamer always takes advantage of it with the hype that happened yesterday, the UNI token exploded because of the airdrop which gave quite a large reward, and now there are many scams under the name Uniswap and they try to send the first deposit to get UNI and it is clear this is a fraud I hope there are no victims and hopefully the OP will continue to catch something like this going forward.

Good catch OP. I supported the flag, it seems this si the second thread I saw here about fake uniswap airdrop.

I know the feeling of those who get those 400 uni cause I also get tokens. So its not impossible that these will be used as hype by scammers.

These people will not stopped. They know that everyone is asking on how to get the uniswap airdrop and they are spreading some news with it but totally deceiving users.
