Deletion of topic and all user post.

During this time I often find that the number of my post has decreased without me knowing it and I am sure some of you also feel the same way. I have no problem deleting a topic categorized as not feasible and it is a mod task.

I just want to ask why every post deleted along with its topic is not notified and can we apply the setting so we know that our post has been deleted ?

Have you ever tried checking point 4 and what does it do ?

#4 just tells you when you post via email.

I don't see much of a problem with posts being deleted in a topic and you not being notified, I think there is a notification bot you can use for it (not sure what it is though).

I think the 4th box is to automatically turn on notifications for a thread when you reply on it. You can also manually turn it on for any thread by clicking the notify option at the bottom right of a thread page.

Afaik, there's no setting which allows one to be notified when a thread they posted in is deleted. I think mods would have to manually delete a particular reply for a notification to be sent to the user.

Of course and I have said it from the start. But in my opinion, we also encourage us to be notified by email or message when post and topic are removed, even though it is not mandatory. This can help us raise awareness about which topic should not be posted although some of them are almost certainly recognizable.

I have come across several case that the topic published on gambling discussion board is the topic that mod remove most frequently and so far I have been able to almost prevent post about topic that I think have the potential to be deleted.

Your post got deleted *manually* by a mod = you get a notification;
Your post got deleted because the topic got nuked = you do not get a notification.

The latter is why I added this feature to my Telegram bot. Keep in mind that you need to enable it in the "Notifications" menu (in case you will use it).

i saw few times that my number of posts is decreased, but did not get notification that some of the posts are deleted, and this could be the reason why

when that happened, i check few last post, and see that they are there, but probably some earlier posts are deleted due to topic got nuked, thanks for info

Post/topics deleted by mods and users don't notify probably because of this reason.

Other than hundreds of shitposters crying in Meta asking why the spam megathread they posted in was deleted. I think it would cause PM spam overload if this was to happen especially with large threads people might have posted in multiple times.

I do agree with what hilarious said about why there is no notifications being sent to users when a thread is deleted especially if it is a megathread. Meta section will be filled by complaints as well as the inbox of the users will be filled by notifications especially if you like posting on a spam thread. You should look into what TryNinja suggested if you still want to be notified on why your post count is decreasing.

At least, active poster are the real interested users/investors of bitcoin. They do not write shit for filling requirements of signature campaign, rather they post shit (may be or may not be) because they enjoy posting.
