Unlike other boards and the child boards where one is able to see an overview of the name of latest member to make a post or a reply, at which time it was made and in which thread it has been made. This doesn't seem to be updated in the Development & Technical Discussion board

For example;

This is what you see when you refresh the homepage (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php)

But when you visit the board, there are some replies that have been made in the wallet software child board much later than this

Reply by hosseinimr93 Timestamp: Today at 10:34:11 PM

Reply by Miaallen Timestamp: Today at 09:29:28 PM

So I would expect hosseinimr93's reply to appear in the overview page as the latest instead of Miaallen's just like it happens in other boards and child boards.

This is not limited to Development & Technical Discussion board.

Posts made in child boards of child boards are not shown in the home page even if they are the latest post made in that board. Posts are shown in the home page only if they have been made in the main board or its child board (Posts made in child boards of child boards are excluded).

Below is an example from Marketplace board

According to what is shown in the home page, the latest post made in Marketplace board has been made by hulla.

As you see in the image below that post has been made in Services which is child board of Marketplace board.

Actually, the latest post in Marketplace board has been made by cryptograffiti. (Look at the image below). But it's not shown as the latest post of Marketplace board in the home page.
cryptograffiti has made that post in Collectibles which is child board of one of child boards of Marketplace board.

The case you referred to was similar to my example.

The post you expected to be shown in the home page had been made in Electrum board which is child board of a child board in Development & Technical Discussion board while the post shown in the home page as the latest post had been made in Wallet Software board which is a child board in Development & Technical Discussion board.

I think it's not a bug, theymos need to change the system a of the forum software smf in order to have the posts of child of child boards visible. I have never noticed it earlier although, the problem is only posts with child board of child boards.

I'm going to play devil's advocate and say, "it's not a bug - it's a feature," since sub-child boards may not be relevant to the users browsing the front pages.

When you look at the main boards with 2 levels of child boards, you aren't given the deepest levels so it wouldn't make sense to show active posts for them anyway. (i.e. looking at Marketplace and seeing that 'Goods' are a part of it, you may not want to look for Collectible topics)
