Hey, folks... Just got done listening toT FTC ep w/Adam Curry. Such a good rip...

Not sure if this is the right space to post this… and I apologise in advance if it isn’t. Let me know, and feel free to delete.

I am a content creator (writer (and fledgling podcaster), mostly within traditional media. This podcast and the whole value for value over the lighting network concept is incredibly promising.

My work is not located within the BTC space, but over the last year or so, I definitely I've spent way more time thinking about, learning about, reading about, listening about Bitcoin than anything I've done, probably in my life. Talk about a supermassive black hole. It's beautiful.

I am not totally technically literate; I align on more of the creative side than anything else. However, I do enjoy learning about it – hence my deep interest in Bitcoin. Now, I am at the point where I am trying to implement the Bitcoin ecosystem into my day to day work, which is, content creation; writing, mostly.. People can send BTC to a public address, etc., however, most people don’t know how it works, so they send fiat via PayPal or Patreon, or I get paid by the various publications I write for.

The value for value model is incredibly appealing - However, I know the vast majority of my audience is not even aware of Bitcoin's potential, let alone the Lightning Network, let alone Podcasting 2.0, and the value for value content creation exchange, plus all the incredibly beneficial incentives that can and will be created because of it. I need to be patient, I know. Everything in its time etc; I'm a Bitcoiner, I have a low time preference.

Where I live, there aren’t many people with a similar mind set as me. So, bringing an idea like a value for value Podcast 2.0 model and suggesting we attempt to incorporate it into the people I work with’s existing traditional media business model would go down like an ETH network run on Infura, or worse. Probably worse. I know all this is super early doors, but as we all know, there’s a future here, long term, for sure.

In a nutshell… I want to connect with certain folk within this space who are into their drinks (wine, beer, sake, cider, etc.), and want to riff on ideas around building a content/media platform/business based on such drinks, with the intention of dematerialising the majority of content delivery, incorporating writing, audio, and video, and introducing the value for value (Podcast 2.0) concept, as an important part of the delivery and financial model, alongside the traditional payment rails (to ensure viability in the short term). The intention is to grow the V4V model into the platform, over time, ultimately dismissing the legacy finance rails and thus fiat altogether.

If you’re interested in discussing this idea further with, please get in touch via a DM here.

And, like I said, if this is the wrong place to post such things, I apologise – just let me know, and delete as required.
