These are top level developers that I think suck at marketing.
Even though I suspect they will pull huge returns I would not recommend large investments in anything other than bitcoin
These are ones for those that will take a risk with spare capital on possible large returns. If you need this money don't read further here. Stick with bitcoin or gold even fiat.

I have some of each but mostly bitcoin.

Blacknet ( rat4) everyone used his pos3 design for years should be far more well known ... should look at his new project blacknet. This time around a sensible protection for copycats to airdrop to original participants.

Bitbay - (david z) first smart contract in crypto,  just download the marketplace and look at his design for his rolling p2p peg. Blows away most of the garbage cluttering top 100.

##########

These I am not so sure about but the level of dev skill is still top tier. The reason I am less sure is that I have not looked into this as much and have not invested much btc into it either.

Zano (cryptozoidberg) said to be the ultimate or one of the most talented cryptonote devs here. Some even speculated he was ...well we won't repeat that since he rebuffed that anyway.

Some others I will add here later. I am still reviewing and discussing them.

Please suggest some old complete projects from tested and credible developers floating around under the radar.
I will also be interested in hearing other developers opinions on these projects. Or any credible and smart members versed in reviewing designs and projects.

No new crap that is only a white paper or design that lacks example of working tested implementation.

Thanks

Let's compile a list of credible projects with useful design and sensible usecase.
I will remove anything that does not fit with the above criteria.

Together we can help each other find real gems and scrape away the pretenders who talk but do not produce.
Most market first fail to produce later.
We will locate those that do the reverse.
If you disagree with any of the above choices then please detail precisely why. My choices are not infallible by any means.
These are my personal findings that I have also discussed with some individuals that I have listened to before and have had success.

Hidden gem or under the radar is small cap. No point to state projects like ETH or ada are credible and from a talented team. People know this and that is already priced in. We will try to locate hidden or as yet unrealized credible projects.
Please read don't spam with rubbish.

The issue with some very good developers is that they think talent and skill is enough, if you have a good tech and no one is using it then it is useless, some projects won't have make it in this space, (Tron for example) but because fo the marketing skill of the developer it is up there now. I have know about BitBay since 2016 and this is the same story I heard then, the developer is good but nothing to show for that

You make a good point.
That even the very best project that is left unused is not going to make it in terms of high market cap or obviously adoption.
However, it is more puzzling why whales do not obtain vast stakes in these projects and take up the marketing.
It is strange that these genius level developers always want to complete 100% before marketing at all.
Other projects that have no credentials and no credible case their devs are able to complete start marketing before they have done anything.

I would not say Bitbay has nothing to show. It is one of the most advanced projects here and is nearest full completion. Perhaps you mean nothing in terms of adoption or market cap. That would be true
Having talked to other devs who respect immensely the devs I mentioned above they seem a little puzzled at the lack of uptake.

Is this becaus most investors don't really know what they are looking for or just over loaded by marketing hype for scams that all stop their developing before anything useful is created.

Surely the marketing of something excellent and useful that is full functional must be easier than hyping non existent improbable dreams.

Bitbay would be in my top 5 projects here for potential usecases and stage of development.
There are some others that look to have super talented devs but the devs show no interest in marketing until completion.
I think that is a mistake. Once it is near completion and it works. The finishing touches are not going to throw up any major challenges.
If the community helped each other locate and review credible projects from excellent and time tested devs we could cut out a lot of the hyped scams.

If only marketing is the issue they can hire a small expert marketing team to manage the marketing side of the project. Some other options could be targetted paid advertising at social media networks like twitter, facebook, reddit etc.
Another way is by offering a bounty campaign to send the message across to the crypto community, I am sure quality projects do get interest and signups as a result of targetted campaigns. So if these projects are real they should definitely keep the project alive using different marketing strategies as posted above.

That is true and could be a solution for the projects.
I am trying to start a solution for the investors and those looking to avoid most teams lacking real designers and coder and only having a hype behind them.

If we had a very active thread here on this forum where very knowledgeable members or developers reviewed projects and debated their real value it would help investors avoid the 99% scams that will never produce anything viable.

I will try to locate very talented developers that have so far been working away producing credible and useful projects that most people have no knowledge of.

It would be great if others could do the same. We could try to attract verified tech experts to give their opinions and even invite the dev teams here to debate and compare.
It is not about just pumping our own chosen projects. As highly credible projects that are really there to test are revealed we can decide to invest in those or not.
One thing we will aim to do is weed out the garbage and only select those that really have the best talents driving them.
The projects we list can be really examined and evaluated.

Does anyone else have any highly credible devs to suggest that have really stood out and have projects ready to test and examine?
