The first time I used the 4.0.x version I wasn't 100% sure how to send a transaction since they changed the entire process.

It will take some time for everyone to get used to the new changes, but as things started with each new version, we may have a new change, which may cause us old users the most problems because we have used the almost unchanged interface for years. I'm not sure what the new versions look like from the perspective of total beginners, but I don't believe it all seems too user-friendly. But as someone said, it might be easier for them to get used to some new features because they never used the old versions.

I was planning to wait for a week or two to see if any critical bugs will be found but couldn't resist. I just downloaded it on my Android mobile.
The UI looks identical to the previous version as I couldn't notice any difference (till now) other than the new Cancel button. The text is too long to fit in the button though! "Cancel (double-spend) transaction"

I still believe unconfirmed transaction shouldn't show in the history tab by default or at least change the notification message to display something else other than: "payment received tx_id".

"Cancel tx" is a powerful tool and, if I am not mistaken, Electrum is the first wallet to implement it... But does a regular user really need it?!
Electrum is the first wallet to implement such a button, but many wallets already support RBF transactions, which is all that this button does.

All I can think of is how it's going to be massively abused by scammers.
Double spending required a little bit of knowledge, but now it became accessible for everyone. All it takes is few clicks.
Any scammer with access to a search engine and 10 minutes could figure out how to make a RBF transaction back to themselves. This button doesn't really make any significant difference on that front.

Replacing a transaction by hitting the "cancel" button is only possible with transactions which are opted in to RBF and have zero confirmations. Such opted in transactions have never been safe to accept with zero confirmations.

-snip- The issue above it was the same as my problem with 4.0.2 everytime you close the Electrum it crash but it's working fine you just need to force close them and reopen the Electrum. -snip-
I experienced something similar on macOS 10.15.7. When I closed the Electrum 4.0.4 application, I had to quit the application (⌘Q) several times or force it to close.

I also tried to use the Ledger Nano X with Electrum 4.0.4 and experienced the same thing when I closed the application; it didn't want to close. I tried to open existing menus, Electrum preferences; it remained open even though the Electrum main display was blank.
