Scammers and their relentlessness in fraudulently stealing from the Cryptocurrency community just take another dimension.
On the January 1, 2020, SAFEPAL shook the Cryptocurrency community with a massive airdrop which ended in less than 12 hours of its launch. There were series of well known new projects that hyped the project on their official twitter handle which makes everyone know that SAFEPAL might possibly be one of the biggest of the 2021 crypto projects.

Scammers saw this and are currently using it to take cheap advantage of the people's trust in the project.
The scammers have created a website purported for fake sales of SPL coin to the unsuspecting public. The fake website is https://sfpcoins.com/. While the Safepal original website is https://www.safepal.io/

Safepal is not conducting any sales at the moment

To avoid being a victim of the scammers, ensure you join the Safepal social media community.

Not only safepal; but every airdrop is what you should always detail and find out its credibility before you engage and refer friends. Be careful of scammers every time; never pay anyone or send anyone your private key in disguise as an airdrop. Be smart, stay informed and always do your own research.
As impersonating and cloning of websites are a widely known technique of fraudsters in the crypto space, we should be responsible for keeping our data and assets safe from any form of threats. The website may seem convincing and genuine, but it does not define its credibility. As the project conducts an airdrop, the fraudsters will take the opportunity to solicit some money from the users by tricking them into signing in their account into the phishing website. Thus, the key is to report the website and inform people to prevent victimization. Good thing that SafePal is hands-on with the safety of their wallet users, they have warned them of the possible scams that can be associated with their wallet.

This is an old strategy use by cryptocurrency to lost from naive crypto investors and as others have said it not only about SAFEPAL cause Binance users and other reputable project enthusiasts have been the victim of impersonators on telegram.

Be smart, stay informed and always do your own research.
Doing own research is not enough but knowing the real social media account of the project one chooses to join online cause the impersonators are so good at what they do.

That is why I do not participate in airdrops because there are a lot of scammers, even the big channels that advertise them cannot quickly understand that this is a scam.
