I know atomic swaps are suppose to help with that, but they are yet to exist, right? All those coin swap services charge too high fees.

I think Binance exchange is what you looking for they have less trading of around 0.10% and if you can get VIP level 9 you can get 0.02-0.04% fee and you can get a lesser fee if you have BNB for fee deductions.

They have 25% Off for those who have BNB from their account you can check them from here https://www.binance.com/en/fee/schedule

There is at least a paper on the swaps thing out and being reviewed.

Would it be implemented next year? it would totally be the killer app.

But we don't know how it would really work as in theory there are not fees at all.

You can also try posting on the economy > Marketplace > Currency exchange  section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
Due to your newbie status OP you are probably going to have to go 1st.
A lot is also going to depend on how much you want to trade.
It's going to be easier to find someone to do $20 as opposed to $88,000

Like what others said, Binance is probably your best bet. If you really don't want to pay any fees besides the transaction fees though, then do it peer-to-peer. Look for people to exchange your bitcoin for monero in various bitcoin forums and social media sites. Obviously this is not an easy solution, but yea.

Posting on the currency exchange section could help you. Already one user has posted the requirement of bitcoin in exchange for monero. Contact him, and if he has the volume required for you and on acceptance of deal exchange bitcoin and receive monero. If he isn't ready, start your own thread which is the only go other than Exchange services.

1. find another individual who has Monero and wants Bitcoin.
2. agree on an exchange rate for btc/xmr
3. find a middle man (aka an escrow) and create a 2 of 3 multi sig bitcoin address among yourselves
4. send bitcoin to that address
5. receive XMR in your own address
6. the escrow sends bitcoins to the other individual.

there is no fee involved in this apart from the network fees you pay to transact these cryptocurrencies and you can find an escrow who would do it for free. that is the same fee that you would have paid if you used an exchange to deposit and withdraw your coins but there is no trading fee anymore.

They have 25% Off for those who have BNB from their account you can check them from here https://www.binance.com/en/fee/schedule

I can't use Binance because I want to do it anonymously. With Binance there is always the chance they will suspend all withdrawals and ask for ID verification - which I am not interested in doing.
