Welcome to the New ExperimentationWhen the original experiment that is Ethereum began, it was always the goal to implement a second chain as soon as possible.
Unfortunately as it turns out after almost 4 years of delay this milestone of creating blockchain number 12345 has moved a step closer.
It is basic, but a start.
Still will take years convincing enough people to move the assets across to the new experiment. A lot will be a bit hesitant as legal aspect is still uncertain.
