Is it commonplace to understand everything on these exchange sites like Binance in order to successfully buy and sell crypto? Looking at Binance through my web browser and it absolutely terrifies me. I have no idea what all these terminologies are and ticker moving items are, spots, futures, WazirX, etc.

I installed the app and in lite mode it looks simple, "buy this, using that". I can deal with that. Is it normal to just use exchanges in this lite way? I'm not supposed to be understanding everything showing on the main website am I? I feel like I'm supposed to be Gordon Gekko or something to be getting the most out of it all!

I'm not looking for anyone to describe all those things BTW  Grin I'm just looking for some reassurance that many people just use the basic functionality of buy and sell without utilising all that complex stuff.

You got it. I barely use Binance web to buy or sell. The last time I logged in via web was 3 or 4 months ago. Most of my orders are carried out via Binance app, even before that, I had to take a look on so TAs, using https://www.tradingview.com/. I know Tradingview is also integrated in Binance web but I just use Tradingview on its own web like a habit.

Binance has grown a lot over the last couple of years, and added loads of trading options over time, to the point that, for the most, all these options may indeed be overwhelming, especially if you’re simply interested in purchasing some BTC and moving it to your wallet.

You can though go through some of the tutorials that are accessible on Binance Academy (https://academy.binance.com/en/articles?page=2&tags=tutorials), or view some of the video tutorial they’ve got on their Youtube channel (i.e. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oE0JADwJ8gQ).

For some languages, they’ve been creating a bunch of video content to introduce different concepts and how these can be applied on their platform, which, although they constitute an introductory level, serve the purpose of allowing one to assess whether a specific area is of any interest to them (i.e. Binance Spanish Masterclasses – we’ve been going over their weekly videos to leave a short impression on them on our local board). There should be something of the kind in English on their channel.
