Whether you realize it or not, almost every day you will see swarm of newbie coming to the forum and getting merit in almost the same way. I don't think they are all new to the forum, but some of them are longtime user hiding behind newbie masks.

As I thought too, Many newbies keep popping up with different goals. But some newbies are old users on this forum who hide behind the newbie mask with good quality posts. Maybe the purpose of hiding behind the newbie mask is to express themselves without using the main account so that they will be freer, like having multiple personalities or something.

4 reason why they need merit.

2. Join bounty or signature campaign
3. Reputation
4. Achievement

For some reason that you mentioned the most desirable is to move up the rankings and then be able to join the signature bounty campaign. This is the goal of most members to earn income every week or every month. I also feel it this time. But behind all that there is a lot of struggle to be done. It's not easy to get to the current rankings because it's not only merit that is needed, but it contributes well to forums and relevant posts.

Success will only come if you learn from your failures, some don't learn from their past mistakes and they remain in the same spot till date, if they don't work on themselves they won't grow, mistake is inescapable but learning from mistakes is how we move higher in life.

There is a very simple and natural way to get merit in this forum; share your knowledge and experience with others.
Younger members don't have much to share yet and find it harder to get merits but they need to be patient and learn.
All the old and experienced members were also once young and inexperienced, like you.
Success doesn't come overnight and there's no short cut.
I think there are a lot of well-meaning members on the forum who are happy to help newbie, with advice and merits, if they see a certain effort from the side of new members.

Success dosen't comes after failure of you didn't learn from your failure.  Succes comes when you trying a lot, when we don't lose your hope, when you don't stop working after failed.
Failure is a part of our life in every step we see failure. From our childhood when we could not stand but still we try to stand and then we stand we run but we don't feel shy. They why we should shy when we fail some time what we start to our future. Yes we Should not ashamed on us when we need to any legal work if we got paid for our work. Successful people come after experiencing failure or we often say that those who are successful must have failed, but people who fail are not necessarily successful. There is still a process that must be undertaken after experiencing failure or it is often termed learning from failure. There are many newbies who have not received merit or fail to get merit because they never learned from their experience, or they are just persistent but never introspecting on whether my posts are quality or not. Merit will only be given with posts that match the qualifications, I, who have been in this forum for a long time and have been on hiatus for several years, feel what newbies feel about getting merit, but I realize why it is difficult for me to get merit because maybe my posts still do not meet the qualifications, and have to be better in the future. The key is not just how persistent you are to keep posting but how much you improve the quality of your posts.

No one can measure success or rate success of person with another, what really inspired people to merit certain Post's is based on point and new innovation created to the bitcointalk community, so making meaningless points to the community really make a user to be dormant in merit, but having multiplication of posts or topics, that yield nothing to the forum showed that the user needs more efforts to accelerate.

And it's obvious that no hope is lost, elevation in life starts with activeness, consciousness and observation, see before adventuring into anything try to observe the environment, most especially in bitcointalk community, making such point that success comes after failure, I don't think is  good idea because some people propagates without observing or experience any difficulties, it differs in life of man that's while our talent's are different.

Not only in the aspect of the crypto world, even in real life, failure comes first before you can finally taste success. Many people fail to understand it, they easily give up after experiencing only just few mistakes. They do not use those failures as a weapon or as an instrument to succeed, they only use it as a source of despair which is very wrong because it wouldn't bring them anywhere, it will only make them stagnant. In everything, giving up is always an option, be wise with your decision if you really want to be successful in life.

if people provide something useful, i am pretty sure they're going to get some merit, but it still so hard to get enough merit to rank up, some people will find something someone wrote useful but they don't give merit because they were too lazy to do it or didn't even think about it, all we can do is try our best to help the community with our knowledge and hope for the best.
