Hi !
Guys I am a complete noob therefore please bear with me...and thanks a ton in advance!
Also please do correct me where-ever I say anything incorrect or where-ever you may have any opinions/helpful suggestions just let me know..PLEASE Smiley

A friend (who mines & trades - I don't...yet..) sent me .5 BTC. I have a Blockchain Wallet (which I love for its simplicity and security - any issues with that ?). I very quickly received an email from Blockchain which was a "Payment Received Notification" :-

A Payment has been received into your bitcoin wallet.
182e383f2a194709b7b83e14bcd9ae27f2b4a77ef3edb0b2957a5fbca7341fef    - This I presume is the "Transaction ID" ?

and with an arrow pointing to 1HKZawouZj9231LgT6J6yFK72LkVzgbf97 0.5 BTC.

1HKZawouZj9231LgT6J6yFK72LkVzgbf97 is My Wallet ID/Bitcoin address. I went to "Receive Money" and made a new address just for this transaction as well.

So when one clicks on the Transaction ID and gets directed to  - https://blockchain.info/tx/182e383f2a194709b7b83e14bcd9ae27f2b4a77ef3edb0b2957a5fbca7341fef

You can see the Transaction Size is large at 1855 (bytes) and the Fees are at absolute bare minimum @ 0.0002 BTC (Correct ?) Additionally its by now been confirmed 373+ Times ....YET My Wallet (Both the Chrome Extension + The Web Version) shows zero balance AND the My Transactions Area doesn't even show any incoming BTC.
In my other Transactions (Virwox and some other gambling/arbitrage sites) it clearly showed transactions in the "My Transactions" Area even when they were Unconfirmed but there is ZERO acknowledgement of this Transaction in my Wallet !? Plus with other sites the max delay I have gotten was 3 ish hours..

1) Could this be due to the Fact that the transaction is big with minimum fees BUT yet its been confirmed 370+ Times!?

2) When one clicks on 182e383f2a194709b7b83e14bcd9ae27f2b4a77ef3edb0b2957a5fbca7341fef  and goes to https://blockchain.info/tx/182e383f2a194709b7b83e14bcd9ae27f2b4a77ef3edb0b2957a5fbca7341fef   -  if you click on all the micro-transactions under it ie

You will see that they all are mainly small amounts - the smallest being the last ID @ .007xxx BTC  - which (I presume) will be "consolidated" ie many micro - dust - like transactions are being put together or consolidated together to add up to .5 BTC which is being sent to me.

Is my understanding correct ? The transaction was on the 21st of March ie Friday ie 47 hours ago and yet I haven't received it.
Will I receive it? When will i receive it ?
Whats the best case and the absolute WORST case scenario ?

How can this be prevented in the future ? - Is there a way (for my friend or anyone who deals with Micro-dust-like- Transactions) - to send BTC without such ridiculous delays - Either with higher fees or consolidating/optimizing/"Defragmenting" a wallet prior to sending BTC to strangers and/or for an actual business purpose etc etc ?!

I understand BTC is GREAT for sending large sums of money and bad for small sums of money (according to simple cost-benefit analysis as compared to more conventional means of money transfer) BUT PLEASE DO  EXPLAIN THIS TO ME! Smiley

                  Gentlemen & Ladies...thanks a TON...much appreciate all your Time, Patience & Expertise.
I will ask more minor details post your replies.

PS: I did search for relevant answers but couldn't find related stuff. Dont mean to waste anyone's time.
PS2: I believe my PC is "super-safe" PLUS 2 Stage Verification etc is active all over the place etc
Cheers!

Stalked Blockchain via twitter...found out that one can contact them for Grievances via https://blockchain.zendesk.com/anonymous_requests/new

Within 24 hours I got a reply...hats off to their Team. Much appreciate the professionalism !

I can see the funds *should* be available within your Blockchain.info wallet. The transaction shows the funds were sent, and are available, but Blockchain.info isn’t displaying the balance properly. This is definitely related to Blockchain.info, and not the actual bitcoin blockchain. Your funds are safe.

I’ve escalated this issue to our developers, but there are ways to access the funds immediately if you need to. You can import the private key for this address into any other wallet client. The easiest way to gain access to the private key is by clicking on “Paper” under the “Backup” section when logged into your wallet. The public key will be displayed on the left in bigger text, and the private key on the right in smaller text. Be sure to keep your private keys safe & secure from anyone else, as control of these means you control the bitcoins at the public address. Thanks, and sorry for any problems.
