In my opinion it will last until Jeff Bezos will retire. He, "the richest man" is so underappreciated. Everyone thinks his job is easy from the above, that attending some meetings with important investors and top executives in the world is nothing much.
This business is the creation of a very smart guy. His vision is not 5 or 10 years. His vision is 7 years which from a business point of view, for a lot of people doesn't make sense. His approach is the most business like. His entire focus is not entirely on innovation (compared to Elon Musk), or delivering a great looking product that looks attractive and "wow" to customers (Steve Jobs), or even focused on B2B partnerships to move forward or grow (Bill Gates with Intel partnership to put Windows on every possible PC). Last, his focus is not entirely on management of people to grow a mature company (Zuckerberg after 3-4 years of Facebook). Jeff Bezos is the one who is the most complete because he created a "balance" of all those things. He doesn't like the word balance so let's use his own words, a "harmony" of all those skills of being successful.
The best thing Jeff Bezos does is that he probably never thinks about his achievement. I doubt he is getting up in the morning with "Oh thanks God I'm such a billionaire richest man in the world yey!". No, his mentality / hunger for being successful is the same as when he was worth $100,000 ; $1,000,000 ; or more. Bill Gates, Zuckerberg and others also have this mentality so I don't want to give credits just to Jeff, but I feel that of them all Jeff is the most "hungry" guy.
I have a quote of mine: Being blind is not a problem, being visionless however
