Sorry to destroy the party. These monoliths are work of a group called Aunty Donna to promote their Netflix show with the help of the Youtuber I Did a Thing. Could not believe it at first but hey they even have the monolith locations.

I do think that they will claim it at some point, the Utah monolith was taken already. They already posted the video that they are the culprit behind the monoliths so they might take it away of just leave it there for tourists and fans to visit.

The Utah steel pillar they can not claim as they would end up with serious trouble. Without permission it is not allowed to erect something in national park.
The Romania one is clearly not the same quality, that one some locals welded together.
One of the others been replaced with a cross...
Some have different height, another top finish and made not from same material.
