Hello fellow miners, im a newbie when it comes to mining and mining gear, if anyone would be kind to answer a few questions i would dearly appreciate. If im posting in the wrong section excuse me, also sorry for my english.

Is it worth mining ethereum, if so should i do it with GPU or ASIC?
My first GPU choices are 5700 XT (x 20) or RTX 3090 (x Cool
ASIC's would be either the new A10 pro (x 1/750MH/s) or the A10 (x2/500MH/s)

If anyone could recommend something better im all ears, thank you in advance.

Your asking about Altcoin and GPU mining  in the  Bitcoin only section.  Per the pinned rules you need to post in the altcoin section.
Good Luck

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

The most efficient GPU right now is 3060ti, doing 60Mhs and 140w of power consumption at the wall
You can build great rigs with 6 of them - 360Mhs - 880w - Nvidias are easy to build and tweak, and with 880w, 1200 PSU gold is good enough to power the rig 24/ with better efficiency

5700 Xt are great options too, 55Mhs with 140w, but 3090 no, very expensive GPU to deliver 120Mhs

3080s are good, 95 to 100Mhs and 250w, 3070s are the same as 3060ti

5600XT are good choices too, 40Mhs without bios mod, with 100w or 105w maximum

I would never suugest any Asic, I don't like to buy used hardware of manufacturers who mines with, take huge profits, and them sell to people in the almost end of profitability

If you're new to this, build rigs with 5 or 6 GPUs, more of them are hard to keep 24/7 running without issues

Definitely NOT a 3090...
It's a power hungry beast and for the same price you can buy 4*1060ti which will give you 2 times more hash for a little more power consumption.
Best cards right now are 5600XT 5700XT and the very best are 3060ti

5700XT here cost around 550 euro, lets say 600 (735$) for the sake of it. Im willing to invest around 11k euro into the whole mining rig, thats a little over 13.400 dollars, the electricity here is 0.15 e/kw (0.18 $/kw), but there is a chance to get a plan for huge electricity consumers, 6 euros (7.3 $) per month for unlimited electricity.
My question is, can something proper be achieved with those kind of insights and if so, wont my rig be obsolete after eth 2.0 finally drops?

3060ti is 740 euro (906 $)
Invest in slightly better cards, but less of them, or invest in  weaker cards, but way more of them

What ? 6€/month for unlimited electricity ?
I highly doubt it. There is a catch.

Its for people who use over 2250 kwh per year, no catch

Nah, you just pay the 6 euros per month as per agreement and you can use a shit ton of electricity, theres nothing in the describtion section about aditional pays. Perhaps theres a limit afterall, but i dont think its reachable with 20 gpus running constantly for a month, it would have to be a room of 500 square metres stacked from ceiling to the ground wkth gpus running nonstop, even so, i dont think you would reach it. Its a special plan for people who use a shit ton of electricity

2250 kWh is not a alot of energy at all, that's about what a studio apartment household consumes per year.
