I can't believe thats the real number. Poor people but snakes are responsible for killing rodents so in a way they are keeping people safe from a lot of diseases.
Thats what we called Foodchain mate, almost everything in the world has a purpose(though there are some that must not be like Rats in which i don't see the purpose why they lives) Snakes only Bites people if they are triggered.
Sometimes they are going in our places because their habitat are being destroyed by Humans.
If we don't get in their places surely we will not be bitten by Snakes.
The Snake by Al Wilson - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd82HxYyHZg. Nice Video thanks Bud though i am not familiar with this music but i find it Cool and chilling lol.

Humans kills more animals than animals killing human every year, and we have the treatment for almost every kind of snake bite so its the people's ignorance causing them to die.

That might be true. Just want to share a story before this lockdown happened. We went to my friend's farm, we are eating in the dining area and startled after we saw a snake chasing the rat. He didnt manage to get the rat and left without harming anyone, that moment we are so near towards the snake. So if you didnt provoke them they will leave you alone.

I am terrified of poisonous sankes myself. I know they usually avoid humans and will try to stay hiden, but encounters still be deadly. It all depends if you can make it in time to the next hospital or clinic with the correct antidote. Imagine being in the jungle in South America, or in the Outback of Australia and get bitten by a snake. The next hospital might be hundreds of kilometers away. Another problem might be to identify the correct snake that bit you, if you couldn't really see it there might be some test to be done first before the doctor can give you the antidote, costing more valuable time. We shouldn't be joking around snakes.

Snakes are very poisonous every year during the monsoon season many people fall prey to the venomous bites of snakes and die usually in rural areas women and children at home and farmers on farms are bitten by snakes. This results in toxic injuries which can lead to various complications including death only 3% of the total infected people receive hospital treatment the remaining 98% of people go to ojha without going to the hospital for treatment. The result is death due to lack of proper treatment.

In my village area, the majority of snakebite victims are farmers... rattlesnakes live in dense forests and swamps, and the farmers in my village pass through the forest and some pass through the swamp to reach their fields, if they are unlucky then they will definitely be bothered by snakes. since many victims died from being bitten by poisonous snakes, currently farmers in my village use torches or carry machetes when they pass through the forest.

I hate snakes a lot, and I'm even a little afraid of them. Nasty creatures, I would not like to meet them in the wild

There are more snakes in the world than people. (besides the snakes who are people as well) Snakes are tasty when prepared right. Let's start biting them back.

1,00,000 people are killed by snake bites each year worldwide. A mother and her three-year-old daughter have been killed in India after the woman was bitten by a snake. Not realising she had been attacked, the woman began breastfeeding her child. Both died before they could reach a hospital. The news comes the same day as the World Health Organization declared snake bites a "global health priority". Between 81,000 and 138,000 people are killed by snake bites each year, with around half of all deaths in India. http://www.bbc.com/newsInteresting stat and I would go on to consider myself a lucky person since this has never happened to me. And Im certainly ok with this fact. Even take it one more step further and say I dont think I know any person who in real life has ever had snake bite. Guess Im just lucky.

there are areas in the world where the density, the possibility of finding poisonous snakes is higher, accidents happen, especially in these areas people have to be careful and if they know more or less what species of snake lives there, always bring that antidote below

Well, there are many people who have snakes as pets so I wouldn't be surprised though.
It is normal because pet snakes aren't poisonous. The situation in India is serious because this country is home to so many types of snake, the density of distribution is the main reason, people here need to be more careful.

Exactly , actually Snakes are afraid of us Human , they just find it threatening whenever we are close to them that's why they have no choice but to depend themselves or their territory , But the reality we Humans are harming them and not the other way around.

That's a really high number of snake bites. I am really glad that in my countries are only non poisonous snakes left. For me snakes are the most terrifying animals out there. Especially the large ones. I can't understand people who have one as a pet at home. The risk would vd be to big for me. Also living in countries in Asia were a lot of snakes are must be very difficult.

Snake related death amount is sad, but malaria related death toll is tragic. The numbers are staggering. Over 100mil cases of malaria per year. Small children are very susceptible for malaria in African countries.

If you get in their space & they feel threatened they will attack. The stats you give show a lot of human deaths by snakes per year. I am sure many more snakes are killed every year by humans though for food & needless things for their skin like clothing & handbags etc.

It is sad, but without them or their venom there will be no cure for many things and antidotes for the next bitten person. Like the subject of the topic ''bitten'' not died because there is antidote for the most of the species. It's our nature, we can't do anything about it just to be more careful especially the people in India, Australia and not to forget Mexico.

People be careful when walking in nature! Snakes are most often found in fields and forests, but it's not a fact that they cannot be in your park near your house. Especially Australians, please, be very very careful!
