StarTrader.io is a game where users can upload their own 3D assets as NFT / tradable assets using a cryptocurrency called VFC. These credits are then used to create Elements and Assets. Elements are like Tokens, they are of limited supply. Assets are the 3D digital assets that are infused with quantities of Elements and can be traded on the StarTrader platform, whereas Elements are non-tradable.
The idea is simple and focuses on this idea of scarcity concerning Elements; Assets can be dissembled to retrieve the elements infused into them, which then makes the Asset supply decrease, increasing their rarity.
Both Assets and Elements are created with fixed unique supplies and can never be re-created or re-supplied. So dissembling an Asset is the only way to access or re-use Elements created by another player in the game.
So say for example I created 10,000 chalk, and then created 1,000 Assets called "Chalk Pack" which each contained 10 Chalk. No other user can ever create Chalk or Chalk Packs again, but I can trade Chalk Packs to other users, if the user wants to create an Asset that contains the Chalk element they will need to dissemble one of the Chalk Packs I have traded to them.
This means that Assets can go Extinct, but elements cannot. Elements are more expensive to create based on the character length of their name, so a five character word such as Chalk would be quite expensive and have a high minimum quantity for production.
Part-taking in this game requires players have some basic skills in 3D modelling, all assets are Vertex painted, meaning at the moment we do not accept textured submissions.
If you wish to submit a textured model with one UVMAP texture applied to it, I can project it to vertex colours for you if desired, the model submission form only takes 2mb uploads which can be compressed into a zip file however if you respond to this thread with a download link to your files I will accept any reasonable file size as a submission.
Participants who create and submit a new 3D planet to the StarTrader SolarSystem will receive 3,000,000 game credits and 200 VFC.
