Getting into the Bitcoin ATM host program is quite an attractive venture for businesses. The cryptocurrency’s demand is rising rapidly, and hosts can rely on this to create increased traffic to their businesses. Moreover, Bitcoin of America advertises the ATMs’ locations on various digital channels, further increasing the exposure of the hosts.

Currently, Bitcoin of America has listed all 600+ bitcoin ATMs on its website. Other websites such as Coin ATM Radar also list the Bitcoin ATMs’ locations both in the United States and globally.

It's really a great news without government involvement these stuffs cannot happen, I think biden's government is favouring their people in their own risk and this is what other people are expecting in their country as well.

All these things happening only because of demand which makes BTC and other crypto currencies more stronger than ever a clear picture for long-term investment and future.

Here in Canada we have a lot of BTC atm's . I bought $500 (or put that much into a machine ) in 2018 . late in the year . This Jan. right at the top I sold them for $2,200 cash to an exchange . I think at the time I found the atm charged 15% , selling them back to the owners of the atms  ,at their office,  they charged only 5% , in total 20%
I'm talking in Canadian $, about 33% less than a US Buck . Today in CDN money, one BTC is valued at around $42,000 .
What % do you folks find the ATM's charging ?

This is exciting to see and hear about. Bitcoin ATM's will be the next candy box at a store. More and more people hear about Bitcoin but when they see these installments at their local store is banned not only to raise awareness but also encourage people to use it despite them never hearing about crypto. All in all, this is positive news.

Usually, Bitcoin ATMs have enormous fees. They are an option only for incidental trades. Everyone with more than one transaction per year should use an exchange. I was curious once to use one, and when I calculated that the fee is 22%, it was a big nope.

Indeed a great news, and to make this even greater, I want to say one of the advantages of bitcoin ATM, one of them is that the chances of the money being stolen in the ATM is zero because AFAIK most bitcoin ATM only has the terminal. I don't think that having an expansion in the terminals for bitcoin ATM's is not the government favoring the people, remember that a massive KYC regulation on US exchanges are being developed by the Congress. It's not just the demand that makes bitcoin grows stronger, it is also the potential for a massive growth that many people saw as an opportunity to profit.

What is the percentage of Bitcoin use and withdrawal from ATMs? Many do not use these ATMs for large sums, and the currency confirmation may take a lot of time if you want to buy.
Unless the network develops to speed up daily transactions that require less than a minute, I do not expect many people to use these ATMs they will require waiting for several hours.
Not sure we can track the percentage of people use Bitcoin ATMs to buy or sell there, but according to the net growth of Bitcoin ATMs [1] we can assume many people are interested and using ATMs since the profit earned are increase.

I don't think they will need to wait for several hour(s) since they charge high fees (around 15%) so it's basically will confirmed instant/quickly.

I've been using ATMs for a few years and waiting time was never an issue for me, but high fees compared to some other ways of cashing out. That's the drawback of anonymous cash out that I had to live with.

The way I dealt with long waiting time for transaction to be confirmed was simple; I would sit in a bar and have a beer or two while waiting, often with other people I met doing the same. Now with the lockdown rules things changed, bars are closed so instead of waiting for transaction to be confirmed I just come the next day and pick up the money.

Good news for bitcoin and crypto users for the installation of ATM by Bitcoin of America, contributing to the expansion of their services.

According to this article on Wikipedia:

Quote
United States

By August, 2020, the number of crypto ATMs had more than tripled, to over 9,000.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin_ATM

Recall that the year 2020 has been a momentum for bitcoin in the American market, the announcement of Paypal adding bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in its services and the American corporations that joined and continue to do so.
There is a new awakening for bitcoin in the USA with the idea of promoting the development of new technologies.

We only have less than 10 bitcoin ATM machines in our entire country and knowing that America put up 600+ btc atm machines makes me envy them. This just indicates their support for bitcoin and will contribute to the adoption because awareness will eventually knocks in once they see bitcoin atm machines around their area.

But the question is, how often thoss btc atm machines were used? Especially now that the fees are quite high.

It doesn't mean automatic support of bitcoin though, having an ATM in America is just like the rest that involved themselves in crypto, it is business and they will make a lot of money from the fees, that's it.

Probably one used of ATM is that when you are in a hurry, or wanted to use just for the heck of the experience. And with the current fees of bitcoin going up again, for me it doesn't make sense to used these ATM right now.

Don't be envious, remember that USA is the melting pot of ideas for ventures of businesses and start ups so it is understandable that they will be expanding their BTC ATM's and considering the number from the scale of the country size, I find 600 not a lot because USA is divided into states. If I were to guess maybe those ATM's are not used that much and I think that the fees might be the reason.

For a country with strict standards, Bitcoin is still growing both in number of users and other aspects like this Bitcoin ATM. This is really a good news which means lot in the crypto space because it shows that in as much as the government will keep looking for ways to restrict people from using or investing in Bitcoin, that Bitcoin will keep growing while people will continue looking for ways to innovate on it, leverage its services and features and achieve whatever they want. Today it is more than 600 bitcoin ATM, and with Bitcoin growth last year through this year, who knows the number it will get to before the end of the year. This is really a good news and more of this will happen sooner than later.
