Why is Plan B disappearing?

Plan B who has shared his Bitcoin Stock-To-Flow Cross Asset Mode mentioned in a Tweet today that sounds like they are leaving/disappearing..... why? I am so confused why someone with so much knowledge is suddenly walking away?

If I remember correctly, it's either he said it on the WhatBitcoinDid podcast or on Twitter that at some point(probably at a certain bitcoin price) that he will go into hiding. It's a safe assumption that it's for his personal safety and privacy.

His most recent Tweet from today. It was actually a comment someone made... then he said "yup" .... then another comment talked about buying their kids a hat and wanting Plan B to see a photo of it before he leaves...

Why the concern for privacy? I thought he was already pretty private? Is it in case Bitcoin does NOT follow his model?

He is already pretty private. He has said that he’s just going to go into hiding once bitcoin reaches a certain price peak. And him being accurate with his S2F and S2FX in the long term is obviously going to give him a lot of attention, and it’s probably something he doesn’t want especially if he has a good chunk of BTC. And not to mention that he could mess up with his netsec somewhere down the road, potentially exposing his real identity.

If his model ends up being inaccurate, so what, really.

Though he’s not someone like Satoshi, dude’s just playing it safe, which is the smarter thing to do.

Plan B is not saying he's now disappearing. I think you've taken the tweets wrong.

The question was not simply, "Are you gonna disappear now?" The full question was, "Are you really gonna disappear in just 2x from here"?^[1] So that should roughly be interpreted as, "Are you gonna disappear when Bitcoin hits $60,000?" To which Plan B answered, "yup. I might raise to $100K though ;-)"^[2]

So, all in all, the disappearing act will not happen soon. But I hope it happens very soon. ASAP!

Ahh.. Interesting! When he said "raise to.." I thought he meant "rise" as in 'rise up' when BTC hits 100K but used the wrong English context. I am glad he's not going anywhere. Thanks!
