Few days ago someone named "Lawful Recognitnon" contacted me on Discord telling me that I won 0.62 BTC on BitsLuxe.com exchange.

Sounds fishy but I wanted to see what will happen and take a bite.

I register on exchange and enter promo code.

On my excitement I get 0.62 BTC on my account Cheesy

But when I try to withdraw it, it tells me that the my BTC address is not verified and that I have to send some BTC from that address to confirm it Cheesy

I have no intention to send BTC to scam exchange of course, and just want to warn anyone who get message from that exchange to watch out.

DO NOT SEND BTC TO ANYONE FOR "ACCOUNT VERIFICATION"!

Sounds like an old scam trick, asking for BTC to verify an exchange or casino account that apparently "has some BTC" in it. Now that the Bitcoin price is soaring, we should expect more of this scam attempts.
Keep up the effort warning people who might not know  Wink

FYI, your Discord settings are probably allowing people to send PMs when they share a mutual server.

You can either turn this off globally or start disabling individual servers: if you are getting these messages from bots, up your privacy!
