what does it mean "active coin check" ?

i'm a Electrum beginner and just create a 2ap wallet.

1-i both and move into this wallet a small btc as trying.
2-now i want to move this small btc to my ledger nano s.
3-i went to COIN tab and right click SPEND above the only 1 existed transaction.
4-but at the bottom appear a green line with ACTIVE COIN CHECK and it not allow to go head.
5-on the left side of this bottom green line there is a RESET selection, but after click on it will start from above point 3 ...
i'm stuck here.

does it need to DEACTIVATE THE COIN CHECK ?

It's coin control active.

Basically what this does is that it specifies the output that you're selecting to spend which isn't necessary at this point since you only have one. Just go to the Send tab and send your coins without the coin control. Feel free to just click reset, go to your Send tab, specify the address and press max to transfer all your funds.

Since it's a 2FA (I presume), you will also send a small amount of Bitcoins to TrustedCoin as a fee for their service. If you don't want this, you have to restore the wallet using the seed that you were given. Be aware that you'll have to prepay for subsequent transactions and it'll be a waste if you don't intend to use your 2FA wallet after this.

I don't understand you.
If english is not your native language, you might as well create a post in your locals subboard or use the google translator.
Currently, i don't know what your problem is.

Did you create a 2FA wallet? Did you successfully set it up on your mobile?
Can you post a screenshot of any error message you encounter or where exactly you face the problem?

It is just, as ranochigo said, highlighting the fact that you are manually selecting a "subset" of the coins available to spend... In my testnet wallet shown, I have selected only 1 UTXO (out of 46 total available) in my wallet...

Normally, you don't need to goto the "Coins" tab, select a coin, right click and select spend... you only do that if you want full control over exactly with coins get spent from your wallet (aka "coin control"). Instead, you should just use the "Send" tab... enter the address you want to send to, enter the amount you want to send and click "Pay"


NOTE: as ranochigo pointed out, it seems like you have created a 2FA wallet... the first time you try to spend from a 2FA wallet, it will "auto buy" credits, as 2FA wallets have an additional service fee that is charged by TrustedCoin.

If you don't want to pay the fees, I recommend that you restore the wallet, enter the seed and when prompted, select "disable 2FA"... then create a new "standard" wallet, and move your coins to that wallet!

apologise if i didn't reply, but my english is not well and that is why i was thnking to answer using screen shot images, to be clearer.

any way my answer are :

1-yes is 2FA (not 2ap) sorry for typing mistake.

2-yes, first i transfer from coinbase to electrum 2FA wallet, and later i tried to transfer from electrum to ledger nano wallet.

3-sorry again for my bad english...

4-yes i created a 2FA electrum wallet, but set up using pc and not mobile.

TrustedCoin charges 0.00005BTC for each transaction for their service, when you pre-pay for 20 TXes. In this scenario, you're trying to spend more than you have as 0.001BTC is reserved to be sent to TrustedCoin and hence you only have 0.05mBTC available to be spent and that is before fees.

What you can do now, is to restore the wallet, File>New/Restore, Select Wallet with 2FA and select I already have a seed. Your wallet should be restored and the 2FA is now disabled. You can send the coins normally without paying them the fees and you can just send it to your Ledger the normal amount.

2FA wallets charge a "service" fee that is in addition to "normal" transaction fees! The 2FA service is provide by TrustedCoin and they charge you a fee to use it. If you don't want to pay this extra fee, then "restore" the wallet from your seed mnemonic and when prompted select "Disable 2FA":

1. Select "New\Restore" from the menu:



2. Give the wallet a unique name like "disabled_2fa" (to avoid any confusion in the future):



3. Select "Wallet with two factor authentication":



4. Read the "disclaimer" and click next


5. Select "I already have a seed":



6. Select "disable":



7. Add a password (Optional, but recommended)


This will create a copy of your wallet that contains 2 of the 3 master private keys. This will enable you to spend your coins "normally" without needing a 2FA code and it won't be using the TrustedCoin service.

If you intend on continuing to use Electrum in the future, I would highly recommend that you create a "standard" wallet (no 2fa, no multisig etc) and then move all your coins to the new "standard" wallet. It will make things much simpler and prevent any future problems from using a "disabled 2FA" wallet.

When you created your 2FA TrustedCoin wallet, you should've been given a 12 words seed phrase.

It should look something like this.



You need that to disable 2FA. Don't use the seed in the image, it was created solely for this and isn't secure to use.

You enter your seed phrase.

When you created your Electrum wallet for the first time, it would have shown you 12 words which you then had to re-enter on the next screen to set up your wallet. You should have backed these words up, preferably by writing them down on paper. Enter these words on that screen.

If you do not have these words, then things become tricky. Do you still have access to the email address you used when creating your 2FA wallet? In that case, you might be able to email TrustedCoin and ask for their help, but usually they only reset 2FA codes which would not help you in this case. Most likely without your seed phrase you will just have to pay their fee.

You shouldn't use the 2FA wallet for anything anymore:
1. It wouldn't provide the similar security as a 2FA wallet once you key in your seed to disable the 2FA.
2. It uses 2-of-3 Multisig which makes the transaction size bigger than as per needed.

But, it's a good practice to just store the 12 word seed somewhere, in case someone accidentally sends funds to that address or if you inadvertently key the wrong address in.

It is always better to not throw away the mnemonic code.

You might accidentally receive coins to an address derived from the old wallet seed.

The best would be to not use it anymore, while not throwing it away. Keep it in case you'll need it.
