It's been a while since I have been back here, could not see the point really. I have been dabbling with Bitcoin and a little ETH for about 5 years now and just basically buy an hold a tactic that is now paying off nicely after 5 years in the game.

Over the last 18 months though I have done a little trading in a Binance  account and have made more good calls than bad with very small leveraging on the odd occasion, I have just kept it simple.  In 2021 I am still over 70% Bitcoin hold and the rest is just dabbling with Polkadot and even more ETH, and in the next few months there are a few more Alt coins that have caught my eye and am watching closely and I intend doing some more riskier trading with no more than 15% of my porfolio.

Now here is the question at last Smiley, I want to 100% get my head around the Binance  trading site after only really using it for simple trades over the last 18 months, I will probably want to increase my leveraging to x 5 max and want the in's and out of flash crashes, stop losses the works.

Tution seems really crap out there on a lot of the YouTube type sites, does anyone have any good suggestions for tuition?.. looked everywhere and not all that great

See looking for a personal tutor that will guide you on trading and other aspect of trading will make you to contradictes things you have already learnt, so I will like you to make use of YouTube video for personal training it's more preferable than looking for tutor, and also research for article's online and ensure you comprehend it better, because I think many people today using Binance to trade developed it by their self based on personal intention and ambition towards their objective, and it's obvious that personal training or research really add values to the individual who happened to have such aim.

Define your searches more when it comes to Youtube and try to back things up by pausing on key information and doing a google background check, or even saving the video to come back to whilst you do an additional search on said key information.
That's what I do and I'm also learning to use Binance more fluently.

for example, don't search ''How to trade on Binance'', instead head on over to your futures or spot interface and create searches on it's aspects such as ''What is OCO order'' or ''What is Stop-loss'' and don't always restrict yourself to Binance-only results, unless it's something exclusive to that exchange, of course.

I can tell you what I've learnt so far though in regards to a stop-loss (labelled as Stop-limit and Stop-market on the interface(the limit and market being it's own meaning; limit will list an order (which can be missed in a flash crash/pump), market will instant sell for the best price that it can)..

To try and put it simple:

In this scenario we will use Binance Futures interface.

If you select Stop-Limit, you will see:

Stop-Price
Price
Size

Think of Stop-Price as a Trigger; something that makes something else 'happen', In this case, Stop-price is the price the asset has to reach in order for your order to be listed on the exchange.

Price would be the price in which you want your order to be listed. *if your Stop-price is 35k, set your Price lower to allow room for a sale in the case of fast movement, perhaps 34.95k*

Size being the size of the order you want to list.

It doesn't always have to be to protect you from losses too, it can also protect your profit..

Say you buy bitcoin at 30k and it rises to 40k, you could then go ahead and place a stop-limit/market order to sell at a profit of 34k, should the price start to reverse from 40k, ultimately securing some profits.

I am still learning myself but I hope this information can benefit you and give you a different perception on stop-loss.
Always verify key information though, there could be more to this than I've yet to know.

Youtube videos are the best ones to learn from because they are free, and if you think that it can't work out for you then you know a way to not do it. To be honest with OP, there is no good online courses for these niche part of Internet, most are just tactics that they employed that worked for them and thinks that it can work for the other. Youtube videos can help you consider your options if you actually find a good one all while not spending your hard earned money. Also, you already had the experience, just start there and find the rest later on.

With the experience that you have in trading especially with 5 years, you might have learned allot already, but that doesn't guarantee you a good profit as markets are still unpredictable sometimes. We are doing the same thing, I am also trading with leverage and I find it better when my leverage is x20 or higher, this way, I can maximize the profit but also increase the risk of my funds losing if the market didn't adhere in my position. You might need to use stop loss and stop limit in order to decrease your potential losses but I will still advice that you join some cryptocurrency trading signals. The advantage of that is that it will lessen your time when doing a fundamental and technical analysis as it is like a collaborative platform where you can get hints of which coin will be good at a time.
