AMD Display Drivers stop responding on SGminer launch! I can't mine!

Hello, I have a R9 290x and no matter what configuration of settings I try, the display driver crashes and I get 0kh/s in SGminer. As soon as I open it, a little bubble appears that says the display driver stopped responding and recovered. I have tried different versions of drivers, different versions of the app sdk, I used Display Driver Uninstaller and completely wiped all driver settings... what do I do now?

Underclock and undervolt your card. Or don't mine scrypt coins for now.

Yes, it is in my PC. I use my PC like once a month, so I figured it would be fine. Mostly I work on my laptop.

I underclocked it, and slowly brought it back up. It seems to be working now. Fingers crossed it will stay stable through the night.

Get HwInfo and make sure all sensors show decent temperatures.

You can ruin your card in no time, mining scrypt in an enclosed case.
