Hiveon ASIC powered by MSKMINER firmware for ASIC Antminer L3+ and L3++! It has many more features compared to the stock firmware, and the level of protection against viruses has become even higher. Details below — we will tell you about the new features of the firmware and remind you about the existing ones.
What’s new?Advanced virus protectionThe last time the signature of the stock firmware from Bitmain was updated was in June 2020 — you must admit, it was a long time ago. This signature is very easy to hack, so the factory firmware is vulnerable to virus infection. Now this is the main problem for most L3+ owners on stock firmware. Their devices become infected, causing them to lose income. And worst of all, one infected ASIC can easily infect the entire farm!
The new version of the Hiveon firmware will allow you to avoid this unpleasant situation. It is “equipped” with a digital signature that will keep your devices safe from viruses. The firmware can even “cure” an already-infected device. In addition, the firmware has a closed SSH, and it lacks all currently known web vulnerabilities — this also contributes to high protection against viruses. Another very useful feature is the password guessing attack detector (but we still recommend that you change the default password after installing the firmware).
Useful updates- We have fixed the incorrect saving of chip frequency values. This ensures optimal chips’ tuning — therefore, they will work more efficiently, generating more income and at the same time consuming less energy.
- Thanks to the quiet start function, ASICs produce less noise when rebooting — this is important if you are trying to reduce the noise level in the room.
- We also added a search function for ASICs on the shelf — just enter the required command on the web, and the LEDs of the specific device will start blinking. This way you can easily find any of your ASICs (which is especially useful if you have a large farm).
- If the internet connection is lost, the ASIC automatically switches to the sleep mode. Therefore, your devices will not be idle and increase electricity bills.
- All minor bugs of the first firmware version have also been fixed. Now your devices will work even more stably.
Hashrate and energy consumptionCompared to the stock firmware, Hiveon offers higher hashrate and lower power consumption. With L3+ and L3++ on stock firmware, you can only achieve 504 MH/s and 580 MH/s respectively. In turn, Hiveon ASIC powered by MSKMINER allows you to overclock devices up to 720 MH/s (on the stock power supply). The difference is 216 MH/s and 140 MH/s respectively, which directly affects your income. You will earn more.
As for electricity, for example, L3+ consumes 800 W on the stock firmware, and only 660 W on the Hiveon firmware (the hashrate of 504 MH/s was used for comparison). The difference is 140 W. You will pay less for electricity, which is especially important if you have a lot of devices.
A few words about other featuresAll of these features will be familiar to those of you who have already used the first version of the Hiveon ASIC firmware for L3+ and L3++. However, we will remind you of them so that you have a complete understanding of the new version.
Visual control of chipsHiveon ASIC firmware for L3+ and L3++ allows you to monitor the status of each chip visually. This can be done directly in the ASIC web interface:
- Green color — hashrate is at the desired level]
- Yellow color — hashrate decrease is below 80%
- Red color — hashrate decrease is below 50%
This way, you can easily track the performance of your devices and quickly take action in case of the hashrate decrease — this will help you avoid losing income.
No danger of overheatingAntminer L3+ and L3++ do not heat too much even on stock firmware. But with the Hiveon ASIC firmware they heat even less. So much less that the need for liquid cooling simply disappears. And if the room where your devices are located is well ventilated, you may even be able to remove the coolers from them.
What does this mean? With no danger of overheating, your ASICs will “live” longer, and you won’t have to waste time and money trying to deal with the effects of too high temperatures. Moreover, the operation of the devices will be more stable.
Extra opportunities and settingsAnd a few more words about the additional features and settings of the Hiveon ASIC firmware that distinguish it from the stock version:
