Is Ledger nano S down ?

i have been trying to connect myb Ledger nano S to my Ledger app on my pc, but is no longer pairing.
Their face book is full of irrate nano S owners who are unable to use the nano wallet .
Does anyone no about what's going on?

I took a quick look on Ledger's subreddit and there seems to be no sign of any downtime concerning Ledger Live. It's probably something like a driver issue on your computer, or or a problem with your cable or something similar. In the first place, Ledger Nano S can't really be "down" because it's just a device that holds your keys.

I tried connecting mine after seeing your complaint. It kept synchronizing for minutes, paused and then proceeded successfully. As at now I can confirm boldly that mine is working. Just that it delayed in synchronizing

You always have the option of installing electrum (verify the signature) and use electrum with your ledger nano S instead of that dreadfull "ledger live".

My ledger live is always giving me problems... Errors... Sync issues.... So i switched to electrum instead. This only works to manage your btc wallet tough, not many altcoins have a working electrum clone i'm afraid.

It seems fine to me. The information updates quickly, and there is no delay regarding other occasions. There is a new update (v 2.20.0) available I had not yet processed, but once downloaded and installed, the workflow is as smooth as usual. Perhaps the update download took longer than I would have expected, but that’s all.

Just in case, it may be worth a shot at trying a different cable to connect the device to your pc.

As long as you can create a safe connection to your Ledger Live, there is nothing wrong with the device itself. If you can't connect properly try using the original USB cable, or change USB ports, and even computer if possible. Ledger Live seems to be running normally, so the problem is more likely on your side.

DARKDAYS , Thanks for the help ! I went from version 1.3.2 to now 1.6.1 ,and ledger live says I'm up to date .
I can see my account and all the transactions I made in 2018 .
So It all seems good .
 EXEPT that I'm unable to see the balance in my acct.

Under profiles or maybe my BTC 1 acct it says "total balance" but it doesn't show anything but todays price of 1 BTC .
A few months ago I checked on my now destroyed old laptop and ledger manager told me I had a partial BTC in the account .
I downloaded Ledger live now is it not showing account balances ?

Nope, not on me.

Based on my experience, I just used the back USB of my PC and connected my Ledger Nano S and that seems to be working fine. I have dealt with a problem when I'm about to send funds out of my Nano and it seems to be an issue that just existed and new to me.

There's just a delay showing the balances, you need to wait a bit for it or just scroll it up and down until the balance shows. I used to experience that and it's all good which I've just checked a while ago.

Then your problem was that you had outdated firmware, but if you have now upgraded to the latest, and if you have the latest version of Ledger Live you should be able to sync successfully and your accounts should show the correct balance. It seems to me that you have not added all the accounts, at least the ones where you have funds.

To successfully add an account you must also have an app installed for a specific coin - which means you need to go first to Ledger Live manager and download the coin app for Bitcoin and every other coin you want to add an account for.
