Can't connect to Armory - need to get my coins...

I am having a hell of a time getting the huge transfer I sent to Armory because I didn't understand how complex of a wallet Armory was compared to others.

I have Bitcoin Core fully installed and downloaded the needful blockchain resources over several days - but now armory is stuck on "Preparing Databases" and wont' show my balance.
 
I did get a Windows Notification stating that it lost connection I believe but I am totally lost.

I have my Private Keys of course, how can I (preferably WITHOUT Armory) simply restore my damn coins and send to another wallet? This has been so frustrating.

You can simply install electrum and import your private keys.
In Electrum, create a new wallet, select "Import bitcoin addresses or private keys" and import your private key.

Warning:
Download electrum only from its official website and don't forget to verify your download.

Apologies, I misspoke. I have my Recovery Phrase for Armory, I do not have the Private Keys from Armory.

So I need to use Armory? I keep getting:  "Connection to Bitcoin Core client lost! Armory cannot send nor receive Bitcoins until connection is re-established"

Follow the guide below to export your private key(s).

1. Click on "Wallet properties" in your Armory wallet.



2. Click on "Backup this wallet"




3. Select "See other backup options".




4. Check "Export Key Lists" and click on "Export Key lists" at bottom of the window.




The key you see under your bitcoin address and in front of PrivBase58 is your private key.

NOTE: it pays to tick the "Omit Spaces in Key Data" box at the bottom of this window... pretty much ALL wallets will refuse to accept private keys with spaces in them like they default to in this export screen in Armory.
